Version: Beyond the Sword v3.13

Scenario: This is our emergency replacement game for sooooo's Epic Fifteen, on hold due to a game-breaking bug. Sticking with an archipelago theme, you'll be playing this game with a twist: you begin with Sid's Sushi corporation already present in your capital!

Rules: You may not expand Sid's Sushi corporation into another city (domestic or foreign) unless your finances are running positively (in the green) at 50% research or above. In other words, you cannot expand your corporation unless the rest of your civ is in healthy economic shape. No Epic Five GNP crashes here!

State Property civic is not allowed in this game. Do not use it!

You are not permitted to trade for additional "sushi" resources (fish/clams/crabs/rice) with other civs. If desired, you may trade your own sushi resources for non-sushi ones, however.

Scoring: This event has custom scoring. SCORING IS OPTIONAL. You are not required to track your scoring if you prefer not to do so. If you want to be scored, you need to document (via screenshot or saved games, preferably both) all items that you claim for score, in case we call on you to verify any of your claims. Players are strongly recommended to keep save game files from the benchmark scoring dates.

Cities
5 points: EACH city (domestic or foreign) containing Sid's Sushi Corporation in 5AD
2 points: EACH city (domestic or foreign) containing Sid's Sushi Corporation in 1500AD

Resources
2 points: EACH "sushi" resource (fish/clams/crabs/rice) you control in 5AD
1 point: EACH "sushi" resource (fish/clams/crabs/rice) you control in 1500AD

Bonuses
25 points: Most "sushi" resources (among all reporting players) at the end of the game
15 points: Second Most
10 points: Third Most

15 points: Fastest Cultural Victory
10 points: Second Fastest
5 points: Third Fastest

15 points: Fastest Diplomatic Victory
10 points: Second Fastest
5 points: Third Fastest

15 points: Fastest Spaceship Victory
10 points: Second Fastest
5 points: Third Fastest

After calculating all points, including bonus scoring, DOUBLE your final score if you abstained from declaring war throughout the whole game. (Yes, this includes alliances and defensive pacts - buyer beware!)

Comments: Corporations are very expensive in the early game, not least because they aren't supposed to exist at all until much later! Be careful how you manage your early expansion, and make sure to heed the variant rules when thinking about expanding your corporation. As a Financial civ on a water-based map, you may want to think strongly about wonders such as the Great Lighthouse and Colossus. You might also try to get one of the early religions to found in your capital, for a shrine + corporate headquarters income boost.

Note also that instead of starting with the usual scout, Ragnar begins with a Sid's Sushi Executive instead. How to use him is up to the player.

Closing Day: Monday, December, 31 2007. We will have an extra day for posting reports, until Wednesday (January 2), due to New Year's Day festivities.
