PART II - A Look at other Classes

Classes Comparison
APS for each class includes increased speed from skill such as Double Throw for Barbarian, lvl 20 Fanaticism for Paladin, and lvl 20 Burst of Speed for Assassin.
Maximum Speed - Also listed in the table is maximum speed for each class - This figure is significant when comparing the final damage output of each class; when your setup can easily/already include some IAS, such as Sigon Gloves and boots combo for its IAS, Fast W/R and 10% Life Leech. For example, a barbarian with that setup will throw Winged Knife at 4.5 APS (and maxed at 7.1 APS with more IAS) while the Assassin is maxed at 3.1 APS
Max Speed - Maximum Attacks per Second and the IAS% needed in Brackets ( ). Max Speed includes speed bonus from Class Skill at Slvl 20

Max IAS available from non weapon items = 165% for Double Thrower
Shield - 60% (4 Fervor jewels)
So lets cap IAS at 165% for Barb, and 225% for all other classes. The IAS%
inside brackets shows top speed without going over the cap. Number in red means maximum speed for that class/weapon combination. The percentage of IAS shown is the lowest IAS% to achieve that speed.


Barbarian with Double Throw - Plus 125% Dmg with lvl 20 Throw Mastery, plus 21% Critical Hit (without Mastery bug).
Assassin with lvl 20 Burst of Speed (lvl 18 BoS is equal to lvl 20 at 52% IAS). IAS for Max Speed is shown with and without BoS (w/wo)
Paladin with lvl 20 Fanaticism- Plus 373% Dmg. IAS for Max Speed is shown with and without Fanaticism (w/wo)
Druid with lvl 20 Heart of Wolverine - Plus 153% Dmg. Too bad druid can't throw in were form for speed increase
Amazon with lvl 20 Critical Hit has 68 percent chance of doing double the damage essentially means her damage should be multiplied by 1.68. Zon also has the skill Pierce which is quite an advantage over any characters of other classes without or without the RazorTail belt.
Necromancer with Amplify Damage - doubles the damage output.
Sorceress with lvl 20 Enchant give 78-80 Fire Dmg, or 205-210 with bonus form lvl 20 Fire Mastery

Note: Per attack is per swing, not the complete cycle of the skill in use such as Double Throw and Zeal.
Note: A Pally does much more damage over time due to Fanaticism. Even though throwing at half the speed as a Barbarian with Double throw (without Mastery bug). It will play differently than a Throw Barb - The Pally can deal out the damage but lacks the speed to lock monsters up

However, we will have to look at different figures if we rely on elemental damage from weapons when dealing with Physical Immunes. Elemental throw weapons, especially for fast throwers, can also be used effectively as main weapons.

Attack speed on all except the Barbarian is calculated on standard attack assuming it's the same as throw speed.

Assassin
Can concentrate totally on the shadow tree only. +Shadows skills has lower lvl requirement and comes on lots of items
Burst of Speed - Lvl 14 at 50% IAS with 276 second duration should be enough. Maxing it to lvl 20 only gives an extra 2% IAS and longer duration. Since the Assassin can max out her throw speed without using extreme IAS gear, it maybe better to wear IAS on items to replace BoS, and use Venom and fade. A toss between making up resists with other items and use BoS for speed plus +Dmg.
Psychic Hammer - lvl 1 for Knockback effect. Further levels only increase damage by insubstantial amounts, maxed at 29-32 at lvl 20
Cloak of Shadows - Great skill but not worth too many points just for a handful of minus enemies defense
Fade - Obviously worth the points if your set up leave you resistance challenged.
Venom - Doing 375-415 poison damage over 2 seconds - average of 197.5 per second, not, per hit. 1 point in Venom works nice for Normal diff but not that impressive for later difficulties unless you tweak fo poison.
Shadow - your choice
Mind Blast - Stun and convert

Equipment
Assassin max out on her throw speed easily, need Knockback. While Knockback from Psychic Hammer and Stun from MindBlast works, it also means you are not throwing while you cast. Cleglaw becomes a good candidate for gloves. 4 Enhanced Damage jeweled plate should boost her final Dmg another 50%

Paladin
Has it easy in the damage department due to huge amount of +Damage from Fanaticism. Paladin also benefits from its class specific shields with some cool mods, sockets. Plus, Enhanced Damage as one of the mod. This can save you a couple of ED jewels, or take you way beyond 160% ED from a shield. If you are lucky enough to get a good socketed shield, you can also use that to have your Fervor jewels on the shield and choose the rest of the gear without having to consider adding speed.

Two types of auto mods comes with paladin shields with one Auto Mod from a given group is chosen for the item based on a random number and the level of the item . One set adds bonuses to resistance and the other set adds to AR and Damage. The highest combat mod being Knight's - +101-121 To Attack Rating, +51-65% Enhanced Damage. Also note that all Pally shields can have up to 4 holes.
