I'm pretty sure Plemo is going to attack Amica. 

No one is willing to sell me stone. I'm very sad. I did ask Gav for first time, will see. I've probably easily spent over 150g this game on stone and marble.



I general only post what I don't care my opponents know; and for the most part I've never regretted that. But as this game progresses I think I'm going to try writing reports and posting like 15 turns lag or some such, but I know me and I don't know how well that will work. I've been kind of torn on how much of my paranoia to post for a while. I fully believe Plemo can be beaten this game. I don't want to seem like a sour grape and I don't want to throw out unwarranted accusations. I will say I probably won't play another game with Plemo. Anyways, just wanted to post something before going dark here. I think its a shame as we are getting into an interesting rarely seen part of multiplayer and I will try to keep writing offline. I find writing helps me with thoughts.

I'm talking Cornflakes ear off about late game garbage and I've noted this in my post for later, but reason I'm posting is just in case lurkers can answer a question that is really bugging me. What else would cause a mid turn point increase? As far as I can tell Amica didn't gain a city, build a shrine, and it obviously wasn't oracle or lib tech pts. I thought initially he paid for or got peace and back a city when I saw the pt increase, but its after a while of being logged in and I see nothing in the log. Very strange.


So I realized what I should be filling this chat with while I'm silent. Its obviously stuff about John Paul Jones. Stay tuned!

That would indeed be odd, events/quests aren't on for this game right? I don't even remember if there are any that could grant an extra population point mid-turn, but that's the first thing that came to mind.

I'm guessing as Gav posted he doesn't like my reload request as he actually posted, but I seriously have no clue how to exit the game with the diplo screen open without hitting esc. I guess I could shut the program down? Is that how people do it?

In some ways the internet breeds diffusion of responsibility. I have no doubt multiple people have read the reload request and done nothing. They think someone else will post. Tell me to live with it, say its ok to reload, something..... The lack of lurker action always frustrates me greatly. It takes 5 seconds to post something.

WHY IS T/C going for rifles??? NAVY! I agree with getting printing press, but after NAVY!!!! Could take and hold 3 cities easy.

I'm also recottaging the two Edmund Fitzgerald tiles even though I said (to myself) I was done building cottages. I'm a hopeless optimist.

Only did 2/3 drafts this turn. I did two larger cities that hadn't been, just to get the unhappy counter ticking.

With Plemo not going for Kremlin I realized I've been a fool. It never really made sense for him to go for cereal mills with his resources, so I think it was just latent worry about getting beaten to a wonder again..... Anyways, I've been working towards a 3rd GA with two more incoming GPs. Because I would use one on Kremlin and another on Cereal Mills. But I need a lot of techs and I want to get cereal mills going ASAP, so I think it makes sense just to fire off a GA assuming I get. Even though I may have a larger empire later.

Speaking of. I started towards astronomy just in case Gav invades SD. SD is very squishy right now after his Van war. Gav did leave the isolated site as I assume a sign of peace. He also sent me a 20 turn iron / horse deal. I sent him back crab for crab. Just to be clear it wouldn't be me defending SD, rather it would be me trying to conquer a lot of him and cordoning off what I want. We will see what happens in the next couple turns. Did start some galleys.

I've been building wealth in 8ish cities, but I realized if I'm going to be doing an earlier GA than planned that I should use last turns of org religion on buildings. Along with galley builds I think I have 1-2 cities left on wealth.

I mentioned in reg thread my problems finding a stone supplier. Only Mig, Amica, and Gav have stone (that aren't Plemo). I had finally broken down and asked Gav (I really thought Mig or Amica would) and lucky he logged in again after I offered and seeing he had logged in I logged in and he had sent back the same offer. So my 83 overflow got amplified and dropped total turns to 11 from 16.

Gav doesn't look to be invading SD atm. Therefore switched my tech back to biology and switched off the 2 galleys I had started. Want the +1f; probably 1-2 turns into GA. Compass isn't the worst tech to randomly pickup. My Moai city immediately started a harbor this turn.

Ginger / Mig build a hilariously placed Spiral Mineret.

I had warned Amica about impending Plemo invasion and he requested Iron. I assumed it was a legit request as he doesn't have atm. Van was paying him 20gpt so he doesn't have one atm. I didn't noticed until after I accepted sadly; extortion opportunity missed. I maybe should have rejected anyways, as maces are actually best vs rifles instead of knights (see Charriu defense vs Jowy PB52).

Evidently Pic/Plemo are serious about Steam Power. My geography is such I hope* I have time to get to assembly line then follow them up the navy path. Mind you never researching optics or astronomy.

I messed up with ordered workers last turn / wasn't sure until this turn I really wanted to make an attempt at pushing, so requested help from T/C roading (I'm fascinated if they understand). I also hope they don't post, but what can you do. Its only 2 rifles.

I'm somewhat disappointed that I didn't initiate a crazy galley invasion plan like 8-9 turns ago. PP do have a caravel that could easily have kept an eye on half of it though unless I got really lucky, which along with worrying about Gav invasion of SD kept me back.

BTW Gav honestly has enough its POSSIBLE he keeps going into SD even after splitting off some. Will see. I imagine seeing PP land near him might worry him. Gav did launch a GA and I believe his GPT equals mine out of a GA about 750gpt.

Amica asked for a loan and I gave him it. I'm SUPER confused about his 18 pt increase end of turn as stated in normal thread. Edit, as noted in normal thread Cornflakes pointed out probably a medieval bulb.

T/C had a worker they could have roaded my two rifles to make it in time..... I don't think they understood; they did not road in any case, so 2 less rifles.

Talking through with Cornflakes if invasion actually makes sense. I could* outnumber his rifles 32 to 6 next turn (4 upgraded muskets); I have 29 cats vs his 13 atm. He can draft / upgrade, but would force him to do so.

Cancelled open borders, but one of PPs chariots ended up right next to where I was gathering my stack, so WAR!!! Killed three chariots; 2 of them with impis! To tell you how serious I'm taking this I drafted John Kananka. That city literally has been whipped ONCE all game prior to this. I was debating if 1st or 2nd in turn order would be better, but they are already saving gold and obviously holding the turn would be a dead givaway so might as well take first.

Amica did spend all of his gold; I'm not hopeful to get back my original amount.... I should not have done the loan.

Lost the random farm at Christmas Ship; I'm very sad. Speaking of T/C they have a GA waiting. Curious when they will fire. Looks like they want drafting, but maybe something else? They could easily reach during a GA.

I find it interesting that Mig/Ginger held the turn. I may be slightly paranoid as I just settled two cities near them. But I did declare war on PP, so hopefully they realize I just want more cereal mills cities.
