[SPOILERS] OMFG! There's a Succubus in my Bathhouse! Thoth plays with Tebryn

After fog gazing and moving the warrior and scout, I settled in place.

This doesn't look like a very good capital spot, but it'll do to get started.

Tech set to Agriculture, Scout dialed up as first build.

The land as I know it as of turn 7:

East of the Capital:

South and West:

Tech path: Ag (done), Myst (due eot 19), Wheel (eot 26? 27?), collect gold until city 2 founded (circa t32), AH, Crafting.

Civics plans: Godking/Religion post Myst. Other civics later.

Build plans: Worker (due eot 12), War, War, Settler, War, Worker, worker, war, war, settler. I'll want to fit an Elder Council in there somewhere as well.

Expansion plans: http://youtu.be/AyenRCJ_4Ww

Fog gazing suggests mountain ranges East, West and south. Looks like we'll have a semi-safe pocket of land each to build in. Nice collection of health resources so far (all three grains, 2 meat, Life Mana) but nothing much in the way of happy or commerce (one incense and the starting wines).

There are some very nice high hammer sites close by that I can get up and running quickly to turbo charge my expansion. (city 2 can push out 18 hammers at food neutral size 5 with mining and AH. Farmed wheat (borrowed from capital), Cows and 3 PH mines). I'm glad there aren't any Expansive leaders on this map. wink

No save yet today, so I did some micro planning:

I'll grow to size 4 and complete Myst at eot 19, spend t20 in anarchy (GK/Religion), start settler at size 4 (2/19 food) on t21 working 3x plains forests and the farmed Wheat for +2 food, +10-->15 hammers per turn.

t26 I'll have 85 hammers into the settler. I'll swap back to the warrior (4 h invested) working Wheat, plains farm, farmed Wines and a forest for 8-->12 hammers and +4 food into the kitty.

Eot 26 warrior finishes. I'll have 62/77 beakers into Exploration. 6/19 food

t27 swap back to settler. work Wheat, 2x fp, 1 x farmed wines = 15 beakers. 99/145 into settler.

t28: tech to 0, select AH. work wheat, wines, plains, plains forest. 12c--> 18gold. 8 h-->12 + 4 food= 16 food hammers. 115/145 at eot
29: same. 36 gold, 131/145 at eot.
t30: tech back on. work wheat, 2x oasis, 1 x wines = 14 foodhammers 15 commerce x1.2 known tech = 18 beakers into AH. Settler done eot. (I need tech back on this turn in order to complete AH eot 37 so that I can start the cow pasture t38).
t31: start warrior working Wheat, 2x oasis + farmed grasslands=+8 food. 14/19 at eot. 6/16h into warrior, 35b into AH.
t32: complete road. found city 2. Incur 3 gpt maint costs. city 2 works wheat, starts warrior. cap works 2x oasis + grass farm + wines = +5 food, 6 hammers. Growth to size 5 at eot. 19 --> 22 bpt. 57 beakers into AH at eot.
t33: work 2x oasis, wines, plains, grass farm. 7hammers, +5 food. Total commerce: 20 x 1.2--> 24 beakers into AH. 81 beakers into AH at eot. Capital warrior done with 3h overflow.
t34: 3h overflow becomes 2h. Same tile config. 15 foodhammers into worker. 24 beakers into AH. 104 at eot. City 2 grows to size 2 at eot.
t35: City 2 works wheat/cows. Cap puts 12 foodhammers into worker. 128 beakers into AH at eot.
t36: City 2 works wheat/riverside plains farm. Cap swaps grass farm for forest. 13 food hammers into worker. 24 b into AH--> 152 at eot.
t37: AH done at eot with 9 beakers overflow., worker 2 done eot, worker 1 positioned in city 2. 21gold left.
t38: 9b ovf becomes 7 beakers. Start teching Crafting. Capital starts settler #2.

So, really, what level are you playing at and what you're going to do with the settler?
