Whilst we wait for her, Nakor can farm on the roaded tile next turn (T153) whilst Bianca & L'Wren road. If Rome doesn't suss the plan we can finish both roads on T154 and
To cover our workers, we should move the 3 'reserve' cavs & 1 curry to 1SE of Paint It Brown om T153. Voodoo Lounge itself can be defended by 2 Muskets & a Rifle from next turn. If we're still 'go', I'll ask Kyan to send another screenshot after Rome has ended their T153. Rome's power did increase (gifted units from Cuddle), back to where it was before they gifted to Inca, but it's certainly not spiking.
OK, we're back underway and 'Operation: Pantsdown' (or should that be 'Operation: Where's me Toga?') has been activated.
Other than that, not much doing. Because of a general (and rather poorly thought out) clamour for Communism ASAP, we've been bumped to Biology because Carthage is in a GA I have requested Sci Meth from Carthage (we already have our Jewish, Hindu & Taoist monasteries).
Down at the Incan front, we've claimed the last tile that allowed them to 1-move us That said, they could road the plains hill at Kiwi Town to regain this possibility, but I dount they're even considering that at this point. The big news this turn is the planned defection of HRE & Ottomans from CUDDLE to PAT.

Wow, I wasn't sure this game would ever get started back up. Cross your fingers that we can start playing turns at a fairly regular pace again
And yay for operation pants down!

I've asked Kyan to supply another screenshot, but from what we can see we're good to go:

@Daniel - can you check the game later and, if we have Sci Meth, turn up research to 100% on Biology. I think we're likely to remain paused because a few teams a missing (including Babylon), but I won't have civ access again until tomorrow evening in case we do get going before then.

Done. Oil showed up 2S1E of Gimme Shelter and 3E1S of Hot Stuff. Costs are -215 gold/turn at 100% research.

Good job we acquired these cities then! Would have been very annoying to have so much desert and end up with no oil.

@Daniel: sorry for not letting you know I was away without civ access. Forgot to do so before I left then simply didn't have a chance until this morning.
Rome had already played their turn (possibly trying to 'block' our attack with timer tricks), but I pressed on anyway, as you can see from the email and post in the IT thread.
Attack went as planned, with the curry winning (and being deleted):
Rome does have a few Knights hanging around so I only captured the worker on the gold. I don't think Rome can reach this unit, but I deleted the worker anyway. Pics:
Have asked Ottomans for Steel and single whipped the theatre in Gimme Shelter. We're still OK for cash until next turn. Depending on Rome's response we could get hauled back into a reload, but the game seems to dying on its feet. Ilios's sub is MIA and it's possible that other civs didn't play last turn either.

Cyneheard Wrote:I hate to say this, but this is absurd. When the game restarted 2 weeks ago, it was 860AD. We're now at 900AD, all of TWO TURNS LATER. I'm not even sure WHY we're taking so long, except that most of us don't really care anymore about playing this game promptly. It's instead dying a (very) slow death. I can't even manage my civ properly when it takes 5 days between turns, much less feel invested in this game at all. And many others feel the same way.
So, shall we take a vote on ending the game?
There are 14 teams still alive. I believe we should have at least a 2/3 vote to call the game done (so, 10 teams). No one is in a dominant position for the win (and with tech trading, it's not like most of our teams are unable to stay competitive), but I don't know how the 14 of us are ever going to finish this game.
I don't want to be part of the first RB game to not even declare a winner, but I don't see another option.
Teams In Favor of Ending This Game:
England, Carthage, Rome, Byzantium
Teams Opposed:
Teams Abstaining:
Ottomans
Teams Not Posted:
Egypt, HRE, Portugal, India, Aztec, Inca, Maya, Mali, Babylon
In case you missed it.
