By the way, did you ever PM Sulla the password to our civ?

Yeah, I read the IT thread after posting about it here. duh

I can't blame Krill for doing what he did. Honestly, I would have to question a team that wouldn't take that opportunity. It's just funny to me that of all 17 teams, it had to be him getting that opportunity. I would have loved to be given the chance to waltz into another team's capital with the starting warrior. Oh well.

We are agreed about the scouting warrior, W-SW it is. Now we just need team RAMDOM to play their turn and I will move the warrior and go to bed. Or watch American Idol and fall asleep on the couch again. It's all the same, right?

Yep.

I think I have finally come up with a pretty ridiculous naming convention for units in this game. Odd enough that people may never get it, and I may never tell anyone. But cities, I'm not sure at all yet.

I'll change the starting warriors name to William.

Thus far, the south is boring. I have marked a couple of potential city sites. If we decide to go for a denser build, we could always place a city on the plains hill south of the center fur. That would enable two cities to share the pig resource. It's still too soon to do serious dotmapping, but it's fun, right?

Notice that we are 2 turns from the warrior completing... so 5 turns from the NW getting some good exploration. Also, the farm will be complete in just 3 turns. Then things can start getting fun. I figure SW-NW for the warrior's next two moves?

SW-NW looks fine. I'm not liking all the desert though.

So right now I am thinking of having William (warrior #1) head in a generally southwesterly direction in hope of meeting another team roughly 9-11 tiles south of our capital. If the initial land tiles/team math was right and the estimating I did after Krill kill Lobo was right, that would place someone in the 9-11 tile range. And the mountains and desert would make a natural border between two teams, right? We can then have Jordan and Karen (warriors #2 and #3) scout in the west and northwest region, pulling one of the two back for settler escort depending on which is closest to our desired city #2 when that time comes.

I also dislike all of the desert to our south. At least there was a cow discovered this turn.

In turn news, the sheep-farm was finished this turn, as predicted. Bill (worker #1 will go two east next turn in preparation for mining time. The capital completed it's first warrior build and went on to a second warrior build. Build time is now 5 turns, growth time is down to 4 turns. So things are progressing nicely.

Here's hoping you had to Google the names. smile

And the workers are from Forbes' list of the 400 richest Americans. I couldn't find a comprehensive list of famous workers, so I figured why not go the complete opposite direction. lol...
