Yes, yes. Lurkers want blood. And I want Cho-Ko-Nus.
I predict a not-too-distant future where we both get what we want. wink

There was a good amount of blood spilled this turn. Barbarian and Chinese alike.

So, Moogle or Sunrise? smile

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

I hope most of it was barbarian.

Been pondering that one already. I'm leaning towards Moogle, but we'll see. It's probably going to be ... ~20 turns to Currency, because I think I'm going to swap to Archery and finally get that in. Then we Build Wealth wherever I think I can get away with it while researching Metal Casting and Iron Working. If I land HG then we speed things up since I don't have to worry about whipping a forge and running an Eng specialist.

Barbarian blood was spilled on the battlefield.
Chinese blood was spilled by the taskmaster's whip.

In the end I remembered the whole idea was to have fun and lay it on the line, so I attacked the barb axe with the chariot

Flawless victory! jive
I moved the axe and the chariot to cover up the worker/settler combo sitting north of the barb warrior. I thought about attacking him as well, but if something comes out of the fog I want to have units on the road to take care of it.

The chariot from Hammer Bros went east, but I should have sent him south to help Piranha instead. But I moved the chariot before I decided to stop being a pans and just to go for the attack. So the east is well covered; the only thing that could go wrong is if Moogle manages to snipe my bare worker. By the way, if I lose any workers then I can't connect the stone in time. So we are living a little dangerously here. Here's how things look in the east at the end of the turn:

In the south, I changed Piranha over to an axe and Birdo to a spear. I'll 2-pop whip them both next turn: the spear in Birdo will go north to help the Sunrise border and the whip overflow will finish a chariot to take out that barb. Piranha's overflow will finish up its library (finally). This means those furs are going to be in my culture within 10 turns, so I need to plan my worker turns accordingly.

In the north, since Thwomp was almost finished with its granary, I 1-pop whipped that. The overflow will give me a 1-turn chariot. So the barb axe will probably pillage my farm, but then I clean him up with chariot action.

And I can't leave out the biggest whip of all:

All this whipping means I'm no longer top food. Sunrise is probably back on top now. I did take over top mfg again. Demos:

Oh lurkers! Help a guy out. I'm planting that stone city next turn and I need a mario brothers enemy. Any iteration in the series. If nobody responds I'll probably name it something bland like 'firebar' and who wants to see that?

Thwomp would be good for a stone city, but I think you have him already. How about the angry sun? I don't know if he has an official name.

Hehe, this made me laugh: "Like other small suns and the Star species, an Angry Sun is not the gigantic celestial body that Mushroom World orbits. In fact, an Angry Sun is merely the same size as Mario."

I do hope you eventually name a city "Wart," or "King Wart." I know smb2 was the bastard child of the franchise, but I loved it - and the final boss was awesome smile

My kids call those flowers (pirahna plants maybe) "Kimmies"

How did they come up with that? Although I'm not sure piranhas are flowery so maybe its another enemy in the Mario universe. Something to look into
