If anyone thought we were demanding tribute at one point, it was us begging for gold before our beautiful cataphract corps decided to desert en masse. That would have been regrettable, I'm sure all but two of you would agree!
Vaugely, I think I was trying to gain a friend to the northeast to stop suttree from eating me. That was back when I was valuing survival over having fun.
Weirdly I enjoyed this game to the end, I guess it was the novelty of running around with knights and cats to everyone else's tanks and infantry.
I didn't have tanks or infantry. I'm not sure if I made it to 100 cats or not either. Wrap up empire post obviously required!

We were in the same boat, our knights just rocked a little harder. At one point we really thought that you were going to invade suttree. We were ready to come in from the other side. Major sadness that that never happened.

Sure! I was even going to give your workers back next turn. I wanted to signal a sort of alliance, and if Retep had declared on you I was probably going to get involved in the proxy war by gifting machine guns and infantry and artillery and making sure you could move your stuff to defend in time.
I think Retep (and some of you other guys as well) are better at peacetime micro than me but my thinking was that all I had to do was stay passive and the land lead in the SP / Workshop / Caste late game could carry me eventually with Org and Cristo up for emergencies. So all I really wanted was stability and for anyone attacking to find themselves in quagmire. It's a boring way to play but I kind of like boring games.
Probably because no one expected to make it to the modern age in a greens game.

Good game all! Awesome to see some powerful performances out of you all. Your "Green" selves would beat the pants off of PB12's lot. Sorry for giving you all what you asked for good and hard with the map; next time I'd balance a bit more. Particularly you, Kuro, I read that land as being in galley range to the northwest. MAP
