Thanks to Rego's explanation, here are the now working figures!
Turn 20 - + 15 - Mysticism 39/43
Turn 21 - 11b overflow + 19 = 30/87 - 4t
Turn 22 - + 19 = 49/87 - 3t
Turn 23 - + 19 = 68/87 - 2t
Turn 24 - + 19 = 87/87 - 1t
Now to work out Pottery after that now with pre reqs of Fishing and Wheel!

Right then:
Another Lurker question!
How can I work out how much the actual full beaker cost of each tech?
At the moment I am just logging in to the last turn and taking numbers down from there, but that takes a lot of frustrating time really and would love to be able to do it in my head.
I know there's a percentage to take on board, and using the usefully 100 beakers Polytheism as an example, it now costs 87 beakers so the percentage is 87%.
However, using the 80 beaker Pottery as a second example, using 87% gives me 69.6 beakers, which *should* be rounded up to 70 beakers, but is instead classed as 69 beakers. therefore the percentage is actually a consistent decimal or it varies.
So basically I want to know if there is one percentage for all as we are on quick speed, or does it not include that?

The game usually takes the FLOOR (taking the lower integer) so 69 beakers is to be expected. For an indepth analyses look here

Another Day, Another Turn, Another Report.
Well as expected, Mysticism was completed without Hinduism falling, so I have moved on to Polytheism which WILL take 4 turns (and won't end up 1 beaker short!). Thanks again guys! Hopefully I'm not in a race for Polytheism but I'll find out soon enough!
Scouting wise, Ryan Giggs is still hugging the touchline (well the top edge of the map anyway), and Paul Scholes has reached his lookout point on Copper City.
No more animals to find yet, but we are prepared!
Inside Cha Cha Cha
Everything pretty fine, but mine is now the only capital at size 2, and will remain that way until Turn 28 when my Settler *should* (by my calculations) be complete by then, aided by two chops. All The other caps are at at least size 3, which probably means that I could be one of the first to City 2, if they started building workers first, which is what I imagine happened.
I'm hoping that it isn't too much of a drawback.

As my post count eases closer to its century, here comes another turn!
As the clock ticks down to the end of researching Polytheism, I am getting edgier and edgier as I am really hoping I have made the right call at the right time by delaying pottery to try and pinch Hinduism. The waiting makes me nervous!
Scouting is still very unrevealing right now as I am still a couple of turns away from finding anything massive with my scout still trapped up at the top of the map.
Inside Cha Cha Cha
Leo McGarry will be born next turn and sent straight away to chop the forest 2S of Cha Cha Cha to speed along the settler.
I know that my capital is still the 'worst' in the game right now as it is Size 2 and will be for quite some time, but I still think it is going to be fantastic once it gets going, which it will as soon as possible once the settler is complete.

Hey TT. Decided I should start following PBEM3 a bit more and read through your logs. Lots of details and nice pictures, so
Also: Spend more time in Babylon!
You still haven't met any neighbors yet. What's your diplomatic plan? Gonna declare war on the first guy you see? Just kidding.

Well as I am sure you have all seen/guessed, this is what got me into that mood.
Curses!
Ah well, I am not that surprised, as Hinduism lasted longer than I thought it would. I just hope its not the same guy who got Buddhism, as that's just greedy!
Well scouting wise I found some more food resources, which perversely was 2 deer right next to each other! I have now scouted out 5 deer resources!
Inside Cha Cha Cha
Started work on the Settler with the first chop running straight into it, meaning it is currently 9 turns from completion. Leo McGarry moved 2S as planned to start the chop next turn.
So a disappointing turn, but I am optimistic that good times surely aren't too far away!

Well, since it's come to pass: I was pretty sure you were going to miss Hinduism since you a) didn't start with Mysticism and b) didn't research Mysticism immediately from the start. Granted, humans aren't as likely to beeline religions as AI, but it's still pretty risky if you don't go straight for it.
Are you going to finish research Polytheism, or switch to something else? Since I basically skimmed your thread, I cannot remember if getting a religion was a big part of the Plan, or just a side quest.

Well tbh I expected it to fall a lot earlier than it did. Only one civ started with Mysticism so that could explain it.
I had not planned on getting an early religion, but after the Wheel was researched, I thought I would have a punt at it as noone had claimed it yet. I had to research it to get Priesthood anyway (didn't want to do Meditation for a while), so it would have been researched soon anyway.
As Polytheism is nearly complete, I will finish it and the do Pottery before Priesthood, then aiming for a fast Oracle at Copper City.
EDIT 100th post :2dance:
