And pillage them to the ground thumbsup

I like the fact that pillage cash, like GP points, is invisible to the auditors from Demographics. It makes the Spartans look pretty weak, which might lull people into false sense of security until it's too late.

Brought the FDC defense down to 0%. Sacrificed one tank and lost a genite but Drone capital is pretty much doomed:

War weariness rose to 2:mad: The dumb governor fired one doctor but I think the order of events is that GPP were accumulated before the WW  appeared.

Demographics. It's interesting how many people out there have really big armies. I've got 10 genites and 5 tanks and I'm not even in the first 5.

Free Drone Central has fallen into Spartan hands. A great city with nice infrastructure. I think I'll pillage it down to 4 or 3.

A great general (#3) was born in the process. One more base and the Drones are out.

EOT 2186: Sparta Command completed Command Nexus. It means that all InVitros (which I'll get sooner or later) are going to start with 2 promotions and 1 or 2 special abilites.

Bad news: Domai had another lucky fungal bloom. Grabbing that last base might be tricky.

This is one of the few times I'd ever call fungal blooms a lucky event.

I've picked sides. Let me explain my reasoning.

It all begins with Maniac's diplomatic style in the public thread, which is absolutely terrible. I mean, what's the point of throwing remarks like the following in your neighbours face:

Quote:In order to function as a garrison, they need to be spread out over your bases, not all holed up in Alpha Prime. wink

So, I reckon that Sareln got pissed (can't really blame him) or just decided to attack Maniac for whatever reason. I wouldn't have cared if not for this:

Maniac Wrote:Hey Mardoc, should I be facing extinction, would you be willing to give me a base on a safe spot in exchange for espionage data on whoever you like?

Now this is serious. Mardoc is going to be dangerous enough on his own, he doesn't need a vassal with super infiltration powers. This is why I'll try to get Maniac on my side. All that talk about Sareln being the aggressor is just bullshit intended to make Maniac prefer me over Mardoc.

It continues to be lucky for the soon to be dead Drones. I just lost my precious chopper (the upgraded unity rover, with Combat like 7 or 8) to a worm. It's odd that the worm was able to move and then attack on the same turn, maybe it got extra movement along the river. There's no fungus anywhere around.

A big day for the capital next turn: Great Person #4 (#7 including the generals).

A fourth Doctor. The chance to get all four was 1*.72*.9*.78 = about 50%. I'll kill the Drones next turn and will attack Zak with InVitros in about 10 turns.

It didn't occur to me before but I might actually be on a separate landmass along with Domai and Zak. Here's the known world:

I'll build a Gun Foil in the capital and scout around.

Bulbed Gene Splicing.

I captured Domai's supposedly base but it turned out that he's still alive somewhere. So I offered peace in exchange for his map.

So it does look like a separate landmass. There's the light blue of the Pirates' land (sea) east of the continent. Mardoc's closer than I thought. Fortunately I'm not that far away from Thunderbolts, which should help to cope with the Pirates' navy.

The continent is 24 tiles wide. If Sareln is west of Mardoc and Maniac west of Sareln then Maniac shouldn't be very far to the west. I'm sending a boat in that direction hoping it doesn't get wormed.

In other news - first InVitro:

He feels like he could take on Zak all by himself, but there are 10 of his buddies coming right over

Not related: Spartan cities (last 2 still in revolt).

Not much to report. I'm slowly hauling the genites towards the University.

Both Sparta Command and Fort Superiority built Rejuvenation Tanks (+50% GPP). I'm getting ready to attack Zak. Probably next turn or the turn after.
