WW16: Lurker Thread [SPOILERS]

Rowain Wrote:talked about pindicator and Sareln used my atrgumentation for his magnus opus. Why do you find Sareln work as so clear villagerish but mine which said the same but several hours before Sareln and was the reason why I was on him gets completly neglected. Oh and the time I made this post (and switched a while later) you were still on Qg and for some time I was the only one voting pindicato so much for nothing original.

I didn't quote Rowain in my pieces b/c those bits didn't register with me at all. And I read pretty closely. So... not quite sure what to say about that wink.

Four nonvoters.... pretty sad.

Gotta love how Twinkletoes went from this:

Twinkletoes89 Wrote:Y'know what, I really can't pin anyone down.

There's a lot of players I don't really like in this game, but when I judge like that I'm more often than not wrong.

Thus I'm going with my gut. I think lynching novice is the way forward and it would need a lot to change my mind.

I keep feeling he is playing the master vote manipulator here. He has the record to be respected by players for what he does, as soon as he can even half prove some village cred. If he turns out to be mafia, I think we may have more useful threads to follow.

If he is innocent, then I think 'using a mislynch' on someone like novice again may allow us to have a greater picture of what is going on. If we go after lurkers like Merovech or Selrahc and use a mislynch on them, then I think we have no real new info, and if they are mafia then I don't think it will lead us anywhere. I expect us to make some mislynches in this game, so I'd rather take the risk on novice now when we still have time for it not to be fatal if we are wrong.

That's my theory anyway

To this:

Twinkletoes89 Wrote:Is there finally a chance to get catwalk lynched?

I'm on for that

He's been suspicious of pretty much every single bandwagon to date, but when Catwalk surges into the lead he just views it as a stroke of luck? Looks like it didn't really take "a lot" to change his mind, after all. (Also, he did not hesitate to hop on the Mattimeo wagon on day 1.)

Unfortunately he's one of those players who has such a terrible track record as a villager that it's hard to decide where exactly to draw the line. Still, I stand by my night 1 assessment (likely scum).

Looks like Merovech is innocent. I don't see a scum claiming in that position, with only 5 votes on him.

Ugh. Lynch Merovech, Lynch Pindicator, Lynch Ichabod. Follow the bloody trail to wherever it leaves. Lynching Catwalk is a dead end - even if he's Scum it tells nothing. And if he's innocent you've lost time.

Also rather dramatic mismatch between Qgqqqqq's words and his actions here (He's voting Catwalk whilst agreeing with Novice that Merovech's claim smells)

i disagree. Mostly because his claim stinks as a lie. The role is terribly designed, I have to agree with uberfish's analysis here. Its either pointless or overpowered (although more often pointless) depending on the situation. I think its far more likely the role was designed by Merovich than by Brick.

Also skeptical of village power role claims given my and serdoa's role and thesticks (also mattimeo, if he is to be believed - which I still do) and Brick's insistence that there will be plenty of vanilla roles.

I was actually preferring Catwalk up until merovich's claim, now I prefer Merovich.

Yeah, I guess the claim does stink, but why would he feel the need to pop a role claim there, as scum?

We'll see very soon, though.

inexperience, most likely. Also uberfish's guess that he is a mafia strongman is very likely, I think. I guess he took the same route as thestick - claim his true role but as village instead of mafia. If that is the case, he would have been much better off claiming "bodyguard", like Rowain's role (what was that, ww5?, or ww3? don't remember). a very weak silverbloodish role that doesnt kill the mafia just doesnt make any sense.

also worth noting that even if Brick would design a role like this, I'm pretty sure Mardoc would veto it. If mero is village and that's a true claim I'll have to call smoke on Brick, Mardoc and Commodore wink.
