Since its items, they can't dispelled, which makes it much harder for most spells to be a problem. Magic immunity is rare enough with the changes that heavy warlock garrison's could stop my heroes, but in that case my bezerker hordes would chew them up.

Anyway, that's a side effect of my node centric play style, and even more, I already actively choose not to use heroes much so it really fiedmt help with this. I'll stick with 'I don't consider summon champion a problem'.

Do you play on larger land masses? I find there are a lot less nodes/lairs on smaller map sizes so there is less chance to get items. I rarely get magic immunity.

But yeah I agree with summon champion not being a problem. By the time it comes available there is always so much you want to cast that often you never use it.

Lairs change by size, but there are always 6 towers, 18 nodes on arcanus, and 12 nodes on myrror. Those are hardcoded numbers.

There are 2 predefined items with Magic Immunity out of 250. Both are high value items that don't show up often. I estimate the chance of finding one to be below 10% per game, probably significantly.
Wraith Form appears on 9 predefined items - used to be more common but nowadays it's not. Checking "more random items" probably helps finding it more often but it also means lower quality items in general. In fact it might be too rare now. Inner Fire is fairly common, at 17 items total.

Elemental Armor might be overused - 22 items have it.

Thanks for the information, I never even saw the "more random items" checkbox before.

I find after a certain point, beating nodes/lairs often has negative diplomatic effects since they are close to AI cities.

Does Resist Elements work against the fortress lightning strike? Also is the latter armour piercing so it would half the Resist Elements bonus?

Yes to both.

When a wizard is banished you can't do any diplomacy with them. Also it is impossible to drain power as well. Is this intended? It seems like you should be able to end wars or drain power to prevent them returning.

Does disjunction work on their spells when they are banished?

It's intended. The wizard is not in the physical worlds so you can't talk to them or reach them directly with spells.

Disjunction works on their spells.

Resist Elements and Elemental Armor both protect against Ghoul's ranged attack or isn't it classified as magical ranged?

It protects from the attack, but not the poison.
