Quick update..
Ive got 3 impi, and 2/3 axes able to take and capture the barb city by turn 58ish. While also protecting my plant near magic. Im teching AH for ivory and other goodies before hitting writing. From there its either beeline currency, or go for ironworkin.
My early game rival/threat is magic
Mid-game is rome
Late game is shallow
Rfs/charriu i dont see making it to the end game regardless of what they do.. rfs certaintly not, and charriu is unlikely given where he is on the map ( cough, next to me )

Currently leading in GNP/power, and not far behind in the food/production category considering two players have 4 cities now. Im looking like turn 58 ill capture the barb city, and turn 57/58/59 ish ill settle the border city with Magic. Im thinking about re-doing some of the dotmapping as i plan on capturing the barb city to the south to gain the advantage of not having made another settler for just that. I expect to be at 7-8 cities by turn 70 or so. With a nice border with Magic, and one that needs some work with Rome. Charriu/Shallow to my southish and my primary concern is making sure they dont get that gems location. I dont need the happy so much as i need to keep them low in happiness.

turn 56-
Magic area-
Operation barb city is underway. Got 3 axes, and 3 impi in the area... ill likely have to use one of the impi's to keep a barb warrior from causing trouble, but im going to capture the north barb city on turn 58 unless Magic has a bunch of chariots in the fog. I declared on him this turn and offered 10 turn peace. This will tell me if he plans on being a thorn, or if he realizes that i had to slow his snowball down.. Ill be planting on the border city with Magic around turn 63ish i believe.. which is a bit late for 4th city, but it will be my "5th" city at that time due to the barb.. Ill also be capturing the southern barb city that is currently on the ivory as that already has eventual cultural control over the gems.. ill maybe plant a city south of the gems later in the game..
Rome area-
Next settler will be heading for the "roadblock" area to the west. It will have a minimum 5 units garrison when rome gets iron working. Also, sent a Crab-Crab last turn, didnt get it accepted or even sent back... ok.... So i sent a copper for copper, for future Magic eating. If i dont get that back, ill assume that 1. Doesnt want to set in stone any kind of "ally" quite yet.. 2. Wants to catch me with my pants down w/o having any "diplo" ties. 3. Either im being extra noobish, or he's being extra moronic.. cause putting me into any kind of heightened awareness ( think pb 38 ) will not end well if you want me to roll over when u get military advantage.. 4. Its a game and shouldnt worry about it.
Rome/Me/Magic...
RFS/Charriu/Shallow...
These ^^ are our lineups for potential allys/ect.. I border rome/magic and charriu.. so trying to get shallow on my "side" is going to be a major goal.. i see RFS falling farther behind very shortly and getting ate by rome if rome doesnt try and screw with me. ( lose-lose unless i get dogpiled ) Maybe even Charriu, which would help his civ/leader combo out well.
Rome/Shallow currently have 4 cities, Magic would have had 4 by now but ...  Ill likely catch up with shallow soon if my plans go right, and rome will have a Strong zulu neighbor and a weak RFS neighbor, and a weakened Magic neighbor... Those are going to be his choices for praetorian conquest... lets see if he works out the best choice.

See the difference here.. and isnt gold a better tile.... anyway? seems a little odd. Yeah yeah.. i know the gems look like it has more food/greener but not having to have jungle removed is a bit... unbalanced imo.
Anyway. Moved the hero impi to intercept a barb warrior that is going to be invading soon, the rest of my stack is going to take the barb city next turn. I have one axe heading to the next planned city spot that my settler will be claiming when it leaves the city in 2 turns ( 1 hammer away from completing EOT... )

Magic didnt accept my peace treaty, and has remained on the foresthill... Great. Rome doesnt want any copper/copper fish/fish deals atm, Also great. And for likely good reasons... Charriu seems slightly irritated in the tech thread about me.
I dont currently have any plans for wonders, but i may go for the pyramids w/o stone but using alot of forests.. I see people looking at pb39 and realizing that the oracle shouldnt go that late, so im likely already out of any running for that.. Gardens i dont see being as great as in other games, but could be something to go for once im up in city count.

RFS is super new, and likely isnt getting good advice in this game, ( as far as how hard to push cities ).. he has less cities than me, less units, and grew his cap to max size b4 getting his 2nd city settled.. Very odd.

Turn 62-
Next turn we settle city #5 on our border with Magic and likely, angering him more. Which is fine, out of all the neighbors to get angry at and Actually plan an attack against, Boudica, and Churchill come to mind as NOPES. Hopefully he realizes this. got 3-4 impis racing down to capture the gems/ivory barb city before anyone else gets any ideas. Got a settler coming out of the cap in 2-3 turns, which im debating on where to send it.. To border rome before i have units ready to defend it?.. Down south to get more of that awesome jungle land? or do i whip a galley and send it to the crab/whales city?

turn 63-
Settled city #5. Which brought me to #1 land area! im lagging in workers however, which i plan on remedying when i have time. Ive got impi's heading to dethrone the barb overlord to the south, and ill be planting a city somewhere since i decided to 2pop whip a settler.
