This is good idea.

Sandbox T124: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/49396026/rb/tro...dSwordSave

Looks like the sandbox is a little behind on beakers, but I'm not sure how to quantify it since it's all overflow. I can try to correct it next turn, when we see how many beakers we have into paper.
If you know what I mean.

Have you given techs to our neighbors? Known civ bonuses might explain this. I'm also changing tile assignments all the time just to make your work harder smile

Yeah, I've been doing that. In any case, gold and beakers aren't so hard to adjust, so I'm more concerned about keeping food, production, and GPPs in sync. Of course, a completely accurate sandbox would be helpful now for simming out the liberalism run.

Should we build a forge before the courthouse in OTR? The courthouse is at 41/120. I'm leaning towards the forge.

Also, forge before library in Delhi (fish city)?

It's generally not worth the hassle, but one can determine the current overflow by turning down the slider and firing all scientists to get your bpt down to 1bpt. Then see how many turns an expensive tech takes, and compare it to its cost. Of course, if you have GLib or UoS or other stuff generating raw beakers, you have to resort to the NobleHelium method:

(July 31st, 2012, 23:07)Gaspar Wrote: NobleHelium: hmmm
there is a slight chance that we could bulb banking next turn and also complete economics
Gaspar: that would certainly be ideal
NobleHelium: actually
i'm pretty sure we can...
we can do lib this turn
Gaspar: well, no question on banking
NobleHelium: lib is slightly cheaper due to commodore's discount
Gaspar: uh what
guilds you mean?
NobleHelium: lib is the same price as economics
Gaspar: oh gotcha
NobleHelium: hm
that reminds me
if we swap to theo this turn we can't swap to merc next turn
Gaspar: yeah
NobleHelium: maybe we should wait one turn
Gaspar: if we're definitely going to bulb next turn
we should wait
of course
that means we do wealth in every city thats about to complete a unit
NobleHelium: well we're definitely going to finish banking next turn or the turn after that
Gaspar: of course
NobleHelium: all right
it's time to whip out the BASE BEAKERS
Gaspar: we could alternately
NobleHelium: alternately what?
Gaspar: not revolt this turn or next or the one after
because we tech Guilds> Banking (bulb) + Economics > Const (bulb)
and then we swap rep with merc tongue
probably take a 2nd turn to finish const
NobleHelium: we won't be able to do const in 1t
all right
current base beaker cost of guilds is 726
i'm going to screenshot this science bar
and see how much % is overflow
Gaspar: im going to get a drink
NobleHelium: all right
374 pixels of the bar is overflow
and total length of the bar is 448 pixels
so 83.48% of the bar is overflow
so we have 606 base overflow beakers
man this is fucking easy, should have done this before
so we would expend 120 base beakers to tech guilds this turn
with my current config that's 444 base overflow beakers + bonus beaker
lib is 1065 base beakers
er what am i saying
economics is 1118 base beakers
so we'd have to produce 674 base beakers to get economics next turn after bulbing banking
Gaspar: lol
you actually measured the pixel length of the tech bar
that is win
I have to run.

Micro for White Russian / globe city:

Switch immediately to settler, work two mines for 18 foodhammers per turn. Worker W of WR completes chop into settler, making it a 4-turn build. The worker then completes the road on silks, and roads the forest where Globe city goes. The settler from WR can then settle on the turn its born. The worker SE of BM can also make its way south, giving us enough worker turns to chop the forest underneath the globe city before settling it.

After the globe city is settled, the workers should chop a granary for it and then complete the local irrigation project. After the granary it needs a lighthouse and a forge. We should try to pick up drama at some point so we can get the requisite theatres built and start putting whip overflow into the globe.

Cross-posted with the NobleHelium method, didn't notice it at first. lol

What's the plan now? I see Paper is completing, do we get cheap techs and accumulate overflow while waiting for the next GP, so that we can bulb Education?

I took a peek in the game, things are looking good, although I couldn't understand the tile assignments here:

Might not be optimal, but I'm growing cottages for capital.
