[Spoilers] Woden wonders if he remembers how to play Civ 6

I am pretty sure that city range attack doesn't follow the unit shooting/visibility rules and can reach anywhere (except maybe behind moutains)

I have had games where it a city couldn't shoot a unit within range. However, I did already play the next turn and he was able to shoot that immorta. If I am remembering correctly, I think the city adds a level of elevation to the terrain. If the hill was forested or jungled and the units was on a flat tile, then it couldn't shoot it. Not sure about if the hill between was just forested since then both would be on the same elevation.

Turn 73
As previously stated, Yuris was able to shoot the immortal i thouh was safe...

Time to get rid of the walls. Since the double promoted immortal is now redlined, I will see if I can do this with 3 melee attacks and 2 ranged. First, 3 envoys into Akkad to gain suzerainship. Next, move up and attack with the 3 promoted immortals, leaving just 9 health to the walls. Thanks to the -17 CS penalty from ranged units against walls, it took both ranged attacks to remove the walls but they are gone now...

Not sure what Yuris's move here with the horseman is. He could injure (maybe kill?) one of my immortals but I think the best option is to retreat to defend the next city. We will see what he does. My redlined unit shoud be safe it though.

In world news, right on schedule TAD attacks pindicator. Part of me wonders if the best move is to stop my attack and see if I can help pindicator out or at least help keep him in the game. Another part of me thinks his cities are too far away and just focus on Yuris. Need to chew on it a bit and check how long it would take me to get to the east side of Equal Rites. If I continue with Yuris, I can gain some pillages to help improve my lands but if I can stop TAD at Pin's last city, we could mke it a game. However, if I get wiped out by TAD, it would be pretty much game over and I think this is most likely.

Yuris did in fact retreat is horseman out of the city...

It takes all I have but I take teh city, using the redlined immortal to actually take the city so he is safe...

Founded the city on the west coast by the natural wonder, increasing my science rate by 4. Plan is to chop a monument and granary. This city will be saef from any action and can develop in peace. I need to get a few more cities in my back lines that can help me develop while my frontline cities focus on military. Then, I might be able ot keep up with TAD.

Turn 75
I move my units south a bit. I chose to go west...

I will pillage the horses for some extra faith but am considering pulling back and moving my army north. TAD has already taking one of pindicator's cities and pindicator has lost significant MP. It looks like TAD is going to streamroll him and if I don't move my army north soon, he may be able to stay north and take a bunch of my cities before I can get my army north. This is something I don't want to do but I think it is something I need to do. I can keep a small army in the south and fortify Sheffield to keep it but don't really need to hold Manchester. This will alllow Yuris to recover and I have made an enemy for the rest of the game but I feel if I continue, TAD will just keep moving west and roll over my empire, especially since if he takes Equal Rite he will have access to 3 of my cities.

Went back and looked, I declared war on Yuris on T65, so next turn I think I will pillage the horse then move my army north and give him back Manchester for peace. Although the city provides a luxury I don't have (truffles), it woudl be a drain on my empire and loyalty is going to be an issue with 3 of Yuris' cities surrounding it. TAD is too strong and moving relaitively fast that I can ignore him any longer. Just don't have the time to conquer Engalnd and get my army back north to stop TAD's army.

Open the save and take a look over by the Ottomans...

They lost another city. Really wish I had uncovered the city centers so I could see which cities are being attacked. Is TAD working on the cities one at a time or multiple cities at once? Pindicator has 3 cities left, so no vision on one of his cities.

That seals the deal, time to send peace to England...

I give back Manchester in the deal and retreat all my units except for one that pillaged the horses for some parting faith. Hopefully they can march north and heal in time. With the faith, I buy a builder at Hole for a few more tile improvements and my final farm for Fuedalism.

Finally, a new barb camp spawns south of Jelly...

The gold will be helpful and at least it is not over by TAD. I reroute my southern archer and the horseman to take care out. The scout is pretty close to Jelly, so hopefully I can take it out before a swam spawns. I switch Jelly to an Immortal thatt shoudl change to a Man-at-arms when Apprenticeship completes. At least I can get the bonus production on the first half of the build.  Walls at Long John complete and it starts on the encampment.

Yuris accepted peace and my units are head north. Look over at the Ottomans and they are about to lose their capital...

Don't think I will be able to intervene, TAD is moving too fast. I think he is splitting his forces and hitting multiple cities at once. At least my army will be back home if he plans on continuing west. That is still up in the air, since I shoudl have a man-at-arms by then and cities with a higher defensive strength. I can also put in Bastions to be more defensive if needed.

Turn 78
TAD takes the Ottomen's capital and renames it Veni, Vidi, Vici....

I wonder if he is trying to send a message? Funny enough, losing his capital is giving pindicator loyalty issues at Equal Rites. The city will revolt in 16 turns unless he does something about it.

As for me, Defensive Tactics finishes and I take Amani ot go into Akkad to lock in the city state for now. I swap out Manuever for Limes and start walls in Hole, Everywhere else is building units and want the bonus production into immortals before they switch to man-at-arms. Then, plan is to switch teh other cities to walls when Apprenticeship finiishes in 2 turns with my capital sticking with the man-at-arms to get oen out. I will use my gold if needed but alos need to by the encampment tile at Cake.

Over in the west, barb spearman cameout of the camp and attacked my archer and horsemen came across the scout while heading to the camp. Horsemen kills teh scout and archer shoots the spearman...

Spearman will probably retreat into the camp and and die by the archer next turn. My unts ar egettig close to Long John with a few healing before they move out of Sheffield.

Turns are flying around today. Not much going on this turn. Most of my army has reached Long John and will start healing next turn....

I chopped a jungle tile at Long John bring the encampment down to 3 turns. Teh barb spearman did retreat and I kill him with the archer. Apprenticeship finishes next turn and I will have enough gold to upgrade an immortal if I need too but rather would keep teh ones I have aroudn for ranged support. Sheffield is losing a small amount of loyalty (454 turns to flip). I hope as my cities grow, it can stabilize, otherwise the next governor title will go add one to it or when I am done chopping at Jelly, will send Magnus here.

Turn 80
Apprenticeship completes and the man-at-arms at Jelly finishes in 5 turns. I have enough gold to upgrade one of my immortals but I hold off for the timebeing, would rather buy some much needed tiles....

I need to hurry up and work on Sheffield loyalty. If I do nothing, it is going flip in 12,454 turns!

Units are healing and I think about what I need to do next. I just finished Apprenticeship, so TAD is probably close too. I don't have the necessary gold to upgrade my units but he sure does. If I have any chance, I think I need to engage him while he still is using Legions but not sure if I have the tim eto heal and move. We will see.
