Okay, obviously what I posted was the result of a weird bug that happens sometimes.

Before I played pbem27's T48, I played my turn in pbem21. Apparently the game thought I should adopt in pbem27 the same civics I have in pbem21(not a spoiler.) As soon as I loaded the pbem27 save, I was in anarchy with some shiny new civics. I re-loaded the save and the bug didn't repeat, and that's what was sent on to Nakor.

I'm pretty sure at this point that I'm going to go for a Theology slingshot via the Oracle. I'm undecided on whether to build it in Herbert or Verne, though. Verne is the obvious choice, but Herbert could get it reasonably quickly as well and it's likely to become my Moai city and the Christian holy city, so I'd have all my prophet GPPs concentrated in one city. Verne is also better suited for producing units instead due to the barracks.

That all looks real good, but every time i see the score/demos I am reminded of just how far behind y'all really are.

Does Barb show up in graphs?

I've spent around 80 EPs on Barb altogether. At one time, I had the graphs, but the difference in magnitude made the rest of my graphs relatively meaningless. I'd rather be able to see the more relevant info on the other human players.

I don't spend enough EPs on Barb to keep graphs on him. I think Ruff gave them a lot of courthouses or something.

Okay, up to turn 52. Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I'm currently at work so puctures will have to come later.

I chopped the forest at Verne this turn to finish my first spearman while the city grew into unhappiness at size 6. Next turn it'll be whipped to size 3 with a lot of overflow(40+), and I think I'll use that overflow on either a library, spearman, or perhaps a 1 turn worker. Probably a worker, it would be my fifth.

Herbert is getting ready to build the Oracle(no BIDL yet) and Christianity still hasn't been taken yet. I'm planning on mining the grass hill and chopping/mining the plains hill. I'll aim for completion on the same turn monotheism is discovered, which right now is looking like T61.

My third city is being well prepared in advance of settling, despite another barb warrior arriving to disrupt things. The turn I found it, it will be able to work the deer tile, and the following turn the fish will be netted. I'll probably end up having to delay chopping the terrace by a few turns, but I'll see how it goes. My priority with the eastern workers is going to be the marble. I have 2 in place now and a third joining them soon.

In world news, I believe barb has taken the music bard and I have graphs on Serdoa. I don't see any obvious war chariots on his power graph, but he already declared on Nakor. According to Nakor, all that's happened so far is an opportunistic worker swipe.

That is one weird bug - I have never heard of it before.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I hadn't seen that particular version of it, but I have occasionally seen something carry over from one game to another. Usually it's something like a "next tech" decision.

I've been lazy and haven't reinstalled dropbox yet. I've noticed that, even with my recent lack of updates, my opponents update even less frequently.

Instead of a proper update, here's a T58 update email I sent to Catwalk the other day.
Quote:Here are the saves from the latest turn(and yes, I always keep 3 saves for reference.) The plan right now is to finish the mine(with the 4 workers in range) on the plains-forest-hill next turn, for 20 extra hammers in Herbert. At the end of that turn, Herbert will grow into unhappiness at size 6. The following turn, I'll whip the library for 3 population and generate near-maximum overflow(29-35 hammers, I haven't decided yet). The turn after that, I'll finish the Oracle at Herbert with the overflow. BTW, this is how you use whips to hurry a wonder without the penalty(if you whip it directly, you only get half the hammers.)

Verne will build the settler while the whip anger wears off there, and then grow to size 6. The settler is likely to go 2E-3S of Verne. Another possibility is 1W-3S of Verne, which would allow the new city to use some of Verne's most powerful tiles.
You may notice that I stopped building the Library at Verne, and it's because I don't want to go over 29 hammers into it yet. I'm not currently planning to whip it, but the overflow is available if I want it later. Also, you can leave buildings in the queue for a long time before the hammers start to decay. Also, I need more military units and I want to get them from the city with a barracks. I want to get some spearmen, but quechua will be great for me due to Hereditary rule.

Orwell will finish the granary/terrace with the food box slightly less than half full(which is optimal), and then start working the fish and then the deer after growth.

Right now my tech plan is Monotheism(one more turn)-Theology(oracle)-Monarchy(with double prereqs). After that it'll probably be Sailing so I can start working on Moai at Herbert, but possibly Math-Currency as well. I'm not prioritizing Metal Casting because forges won't provide me with any happiness right now and the tech is expensive.

Let me know if you have any questions, or want to receive the saves more often, or if you see any silly mistakes I've made or are about to make.
I'll try to get back to regular picture updates soon.
