Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Wargroove 2v2, Bob + SD

You're up- mostly followed your advice, although I swapped the build areas for the Spear / Sword, as a Spear fits better with the creeping carpet of doom I have going on. Next turn I may go for a Dragon instead of a Giant, one would be useful for its enormous threat range. Kept the Vampire in place, Scooter will almost certainly retreat his commander regardless.

Please maintain the current position of your Sword in the south, right now you're in an ideal location to recapture that village.

Also I didn't attack the Wagon with Sigrid from the south because she'd have taken an Archer hit in addition to the Dragon + Alchemist. Not sure she'd have survived that.

One last spam post... CH and scooter are playing well, and this game is still very much up in the air, but I do think they've erred in not having CH produce Wagons; they've given up on the ability to greatly extend the range of Scooter's troops, and while they've got a lot of pieces on the board many of them are strung-out lines of random Spears and Infantry, while our forces are neatly consolidated.

just noticed that i think you made a misplay, was hoping your center-north spear was gonna stay put, then it could have threatened to attack a tile that the knight will likely flee too if he uses a swordsman to free it... now he has a "safe" spot. ( although just looking at it now, he can also move his spear, and have a safe spot no matter what.. but that would have been another unit having to move. ) OH well, i like our position.. and i LOVE our wagons.

Looks like ill do 1 more mage up near the front. Save gold by not building anything out of the far one, and see what CH does.. if he pushes hard, ill need to use a couple heals. if he doesnt.. ill use the next turns income for another Giant.. then i can save gold and use the many MANY mages + 2 giants to wreck. Going with 1 mage, and a spear in the back.. Saving gold.

You need more units, IMO. I'd build two foot soldiers + a Harpy, if you have the cash.

Either that, or something + an Archer; I don't care for Archers much in general, but they do benefit from Wagons more than most units.

Yeah, more units would be great, which is what the wagon units will do.

I dont believe making a harpy would be a good decision.. they get pretty well shredded by archers, and building an archer is a worse mage.. in nearly everyway. I havent looked into archer + wagon play, but dropping it off where it can crit would be nice, but archers just dont seem to do that much for their cost. Mages cost 100 less, can heal, deal a TON to air, and deal roughly 10-20% more to each unit type that a archer can hit. Only archers have going for them is range, Which.... doesnt matter imo when you dont have units to back them up. And im really hoping to be able to push with a stockpile of gold/Mages + 2 giants. i think if i can avoid getting them surrounded.. that should be able to finish off CH. think about it, Dragon? Cant 1hko giant, mage nearly 1hko's dragon. Harpys bounce off of giants, and everything except crit-boosted cavalry just bounce off of giants. Anything that gets within range to attack 2 giants, will get killed by 2 giants ( and the 2-4 mages following ) CH needs to build Trebs. Needs to build them now, and get them in position if he realizes the pain train imma be bringing.

I think we'll both be cursing MS Paint by the end of this. Some possible moves:

Orange circles = unit drop points, Green line = attack path of unloaded Mage. Otherwise, Red = your moves, Blue are mine, obviously.

Offs one of CH's Vamps, a Soldier, and a Spear, but exposes the CO, Giant, and a Mage to counter-attacks. I don't think CH will be able to kill the Giant or Ryota, but he can rough them up fairly badly, although not both. Mage would die. It's unfortunately probably a coin-flip as to whether the Giant could one-shot the Spear or if your 3-health Spear would need to join in.

Might be too aggressive... may make more sense to simply take out the 1-health village with Ryota, cap it with the Spear, and fall back with the Mages for healing. Mages have terrible defenses, and right now you don't have much in the way of bodies to shield them.
