Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS - PBEM17] novice and spaceman - Suryavarman of India

Right then, my turn. Rego offered 3 gold and the world map before he died. Bless.

We irritatingly close to seeing Darrell's research at the beginning of the turn...

Demographics are thusly. We have fallen behind on GNP, which suggests that Darrell is the middle of researching something... MFG is looking good considering we have loads of workshops ready to go.

Here are the power charts. Looks like Dave bore the brunt of the war on rego. No wonder he is burnt out.

We still prop up the power chart, of course. Here is our mighty army.

Of course, our main defence is our set of NAPs. F1 screens. I went for a supermarket in Cash Cow because it was very unhealthy. The supermarket effectively gives us 3 food (cows, pigs, bonus food).

Upon ending the turn we discovered that Darrell has 1 turn left on Industrialism, so good call novice. We can get a bonus on him next turn when we finish off Industrialism.

Good job, Spaceman.

Nice to see some science buildings nearing completion. Maybe we'll be able to catch up somewhat.
I have to run.

Played turn 154. This is the kind of micromanagement genius that meets me when I've left a turn to Spaceman: wink

The genius is, the overflow from the factory lets us finish a supermarket in 1 turn.

Oh yeah and Darrell switched from Industrialism to Fission. We'll have to set research to whatever he finishes next turn. Although I suppose next turn he might be researching Satellites or Medicine...

I'm not checking every city if they are (more or less) all stagnated and no-one cares about the game. =)

Darrell still hasn't completed neither Industrialism nor Fission. Therefore I decided to put 1 turn into Medicine. We still have health problems, so we could potentially want hospitals. (The other health building, recycling center, comes with Ecology, our last tech to research.)

Anyway, I'd still like to complete whatever Darrell completes next turn.

Industrialism obsoletes Ivory, which I thought for a second means that we'll need more happiness in Capital and Cash Cow, but actually we don't have ivory as it is. lol I guess I could have just finished off Industrialism this turn then. *shrug*.

Darrell discovered Industrialism, so we followed suit.

We've both founded a city on top of our aluminum.

Cash Cow can build the Apollo Program in 10 turns, let's do that.

Some cities finished their projects and returned to military builds - let's build infra instead. Probably just remove the military projects from the queue so we don't finish them by mistake.

Oh and Darrell built Rock'n Roll. He didn't want to trade us Hit Singles, as we have nothing to offer, really. Anyway we can build temples, theatres and mausoleums for happiness, I think only 2 or 3 cities of ours will need more happy when furs obsolete. Darrell sounded a bit nervous of losing the space race on chat, but he's overestimating how many great people we have left. He thinks we'll have great people for two golden ages and four bulbs. As of now we just have 4 great scientists. His break-even (90%) research rate is 27xx beakers, which he claims is totally maxed out. Ours is currently 23xx beakers, with Cash Cow on wealth and Capital on research.
I have to run.
