Hi, I converting the save now.
Please do not login after the conversion unlike you're superdeath.
The status of your civ is currently marked as "unfinished". To avoid double spending of production, etc. you need to move in the correct order.
After superdeath's turn the status should be set as expected (just one slot is marked unfinished).

The turn order swap brings up the reason it was asked to begin with - I'm no longer expecting Ginger to return and take control of his civ again. That doesn't mean he won't, but I was expecting this to happen like a week ago, and not only did it not, but he hasn't replied to my message from days ago asking if he was returning soon. I'm happy to continue playing this game, but there's two wrinkles that would need to be addressed to some degree.
1) In about 3 weeks I'll be gone for a week (May 4-11th). I originally expected I'd not be playing turns at this point, but I can't make that assumption any longer. This means I either need to track down a sub or have someone explain to me how to get Civ with mods running on a Mac, which I thought was not possible. (If you're reading and know anything about this, please reach out!) Or who knows maybe I can setup bootcamp between now and then. So there's a possible interruption or pace slowdown coming that week, depending on whether I can find a sub or get the game running on my laptop.
2) The sequential turn order window is not quite ideal for me. Right now turns are simple that I can play pretty flexibly, but before long it'll be important to be able to play in my best window - evenings US East coast - which would be after Charriu. It's good to hear this is possible, and swapping me with Charriu is clean because it's only a one slot move. Additionally, the only person "disadvantaged" is me, and that's a price I'd happily pay to have a better window, so no harm done. The wrinkle of course is if we do this and then Ginger suddenly returns, it's not the window he agreed to.
Right now I'm operating under the assumption that he will not return, though I'd welcome him back. But I think we're nearly at the point where we have to assume he won't and plan accordingly, which would mean swapping the turn order before too long. Any strong feelings from anyone?

We do sincerely thank you for taking over. If there is delay it happens. We only require pictures of vacation when you get back. Can also probably have a lurker take a turn or two even if window isn't perfect (couple of turns better than no turns).
I would say lets wait until T75 maybe to see if Ginger comes back / says something and if he doesn't we just call it yours?

It's already past T75. What's the status of our missing ginger?

Its actually been working out having Scooter where he is although I know as turns get longer that isn't sustainable.

I haven't heard from him other than one random reply in a diplo thread, so I think he's not coming back. Even if he did, I think there would be concerns over whether he would commit. I think we leave the turn order for now as right now it's working out well. We can revisit if/when it becomes an issue in the future.
Also, I was able to get Civ4 working on my mac laptop, so I think I'll be covered for my trip. It's got some quite funny quirks (tile yields don't appear in the UI, for example), so there's a slight stability risk, but my last login last night was running on MacOS via Crossover, so it does work. Also, there may be one or two difficult to predict days where I'm unable to play, so I'll try to give you all a heads up via discord if I look likely to miss. In general, my morning windows to play will go away for that week, so I'll be evening only. I figure if we can get like 5-6 turns in on those 7 days it's better than negotiating a sub and some of the challenges that can come with that, especially since we may be around T100 by then.

Bing asked me to sub for 3 days in this game while he is travelling. Need to disclose that I'm mostly up to date on all player threads. I try to keep decisions to molesting workers and the like. But do say if you are unhappy with the arrangement. It's only for 3 days so a pause would not be a big deal either.
