[SPOILERS-PBEM15] Mansa Musa of the Ottomans

Arranging Meetings :

to T-I :

Quote:Hi T-I,

met TT recently and chatted a little with him. He is south of Ioan. He has a warrior about halfway between his and my capital, so if you would like to meet him, meeting this warrior could be the way to go.

I will unfortunately be away the next few turns, so I cannot really pinpoint-direct your scout and his warrior together (only giving general directions) - especially because I do ot know even where your scout is hanging around now :-). I tipped TT to go north to Ioans borders, then east hugging the north of the mountain chain. Hope he finds it. Perhaps you can try to have a unit in this area.

Best Regards, and have a fun week !

Piet

Send TT a copy of this mail, hopefully they can find each other

Turn played and sent. Nothing of note. Will upload pictures later this evening.

Right then, the home area. Warrior and monument will complete next turn. Morpork switched to the mined plains hill once it was completed, and its warrior is heading south along the road. It can move to the capital next turn with the newly built warrior moving SE to explore the rice area.

In the NW, the warrior moved NE before moving SE to skim below the peaks, heading back for homeland defence.

In the SW, the warrior headed W, before looping round the lake SW-SE.

I've played the next turn before I go to work. May not have time to put the pictures up. If not, that I'll do that tonight. But everything continued as planned.

Right then, my second and last turn for a while... :-)

NW warrior moved SE and said hello.

Allright, T35 in.

Sailing in, Masonry next, due in 3 Turns. After that it will be writing (if copper is found) or ironworking (if not).

Northern warrior returning home, although I changed its path to skim north of the mountains, to reveal a little bit more land there (which looks very juicy in the border region of Ioan & T-I, btw - flood plains & marble - will post a screenie in a few turns).

Southern warrior moving SE in the direction where Jkaen is probably somewhere.

Third scouting warrior reaching unknown territory next turn - right SE of the capital. Still hope to discover copper in this area (TT has it, didnt see it in Ioans map but I suppose he had not discovered BW at the time of his screenshot).

My Homeland.

Morpork will whip its granary next turn, then growing. The workers are connecting & improving the gold - finishing just in time to improve the rice after Morporks first border pop.

Ankh is set to growth next turn, starting a lighthouse for this single turn. Could have grown this turn, on an unimproved tile, which was not necessary - next turn Ankh will be able to work both mines since Morpork will have been whipped. Will re-switch to worker next turn (due T38), then 2-pop-whipping a settler (due T41), then finishing the Lighthouse while regrowing.

Looking good atm. Food is nice and will skyrocket when Morpork gets his border pop and is working rice & wheat. Production is great. GNP is also good - given Ioans & TTs cultural output I could even be first in raw beakers. With slavery & two granaries in place the numbers will go up and down a lot though, so I shouldn't be too satisfied ;-).

In foreign news, Ioan built the oracle this turn, he will get to choose his free tech next turn. Really fast & nice for him. Sent him a short congratulation message on it.

Ioan answered to my congratulation, and we exchanged a few titbits about wonders.

Quote:Hi Ioan,

Currently also expanding - so no race for a wonder atm. Have been playing with the thought of building GLH though - my capital is set up for whipping out settlers now, and a lighthouse (which will be good on its own) will be built while regrowing anyway.

Since you are the only other player with a coastal capital (and industrious on top of this), its good to hear that you won't be pursuing GLH, so I might decide to go for it. Will also have to communicate TT about it though.

Also thought about hanging gardens since I will probably get Math early, but this will depend a lot on expansion - and if I go for GLH I will skip HG for sure.

Best regards,

Piet

I should decide about GLH in the next few turns, and probably inform TT if I go for it. With Ioan out of the picture, there is a very good chance to get it.
