I'd rather there be shrines by default or no shrines at all, don't feel strongly either way. But I don't want Deity barb spawn in an MP game.

One or two missionaries per player doesn't matter much to me either.

I preder to have "no barbarians" option on. They have cities the mapmaker gave them, but do not "spawn" at random.

2 missionaries can solve the problem that we have 4 religion and 6 players. Religion will be not spread fairly.

Agree with both of these points.

Ambivalent towards the mod

Don't like "no barbs" option. Without barbs early game will be extremelly mechanical and boring. However, Deity level barbs are unplayable. As I understand, they are going to spawn Swords and Horse Archers from the start of the game, we will not have means to fight these off.

Initial phase in medieval is much shorter, it is like 15-20 turns. Barb factor can make too big impact honestly even if they bring axe or spear.

Monarch-level barbs will not be able to cause significant harm during first 15-20 turns. However, did you try to play medieval start in SP? Because my understanding of it is purely theoretical.

Hey hey hey, wait a minute. Why do we need this "veto"? If you simply change that civ's leader to the bad one, noone will pick it and we will only have a worse set of leaders as the result. Arent we supposed to get the best srt of combos? If Roosvelt of dutch seems too powerfull it means that other combos are not good enough. So what is possible to do is to swap Roosvelt with one of the other current leaders but not remove it completely.

Yes, barbs can spoil some settling plans or they also plant cities occasionaly. We also had barbs on in PB33 with industrial start and there is no positive impression left from them.

Well, that's exactly what they are supposed to do. Btw, what units do they spawn in Industrial start, Riflemen? No wonder there was "no positive impression" smile
