Regrettably my Settler is not answering calls for his return, and therefore will be founding "CazadorDeAmor" on the southern side of Lake Shakira next turn. I ask you to withdraw Feyenoord 3 to prevent any "accidents". The founding was pre-ordained when we discovered the Fish that Number-One-Wife so cherishes and we cannot delay. Besides, your alternative city-site suggestion, which we have not yet scouted, would undoubtedly cause tension with the civilisation you obsess about, and who we have not met. I think you indicated that India is over that way. This is likely to be the only lake that we will settle, and not founding where we intend would also isolate UnPocoLocoDAmor, which we took from Whovus without any bloodshed. To minimise culture impact on your side of the lake, how about this: the only culture-producing building we will build is the Terrace, after all our people have to eat.

We are pleased to advise that His Illustrious Majesty [yada yada yada] signed a NAP until turn 75 with Malakai. He wishes the same with yourselves and has been persuaded to allow the release of the enclosed poster of Number-One-Wife, and a recording of her Greatest Hits. After much heated discussion, He will grant exclusive distribution rights to the Totaal Voetbal Empire as part of the deal.

On the subject of NAPs. You may be pleased to learn that Whovus accepted the cease-fire and bound himself to a turn 100 NAP. However, he does seem to have a problem with small-print (maybe you can sell him some glasses) as one of his Warriors has strayed too close to our territory. As we are sure it is an honest mistake, we are giving him the chance to withdraw. If he persists, we will have no other choice but to resume hostilities.

Umm ... probably going to be told off by Sandover for this, but I went for a 1-turn Barracks in SheWolf ... I think the promotions will be key, as I think Whovus is planning something. That damned Warrior [Clubs Deuce] is lurking near Numidian, bet he's actually spying on my military, they'll have to trek past him on their way to the lake, and I think he knows that ... I'm beginning to doubt whether he'll actually honour the NAP he signed when he accepted the cease-fire, and I expect him to come knocking once the cease-fire ends. To cover every eventuality, I want the following in each city:

1xSpearman [in case he's got Horse hooked up, thinking the Medic I promo may be best]
1xArcher [with City Garrison promo]
1xAxeman [with Shock promo]

I'll also see if I can tech Construction quickly ... maybe having a Catapult in the stack will allow me to 'tenderize' any attacking units before he can attack. Then, once his attackers have been repelled they'll be at the fore-front of a counter-attack [which will actually head directly south to his capital ]

Now, the issue of Nakor/Gaspar ... their Warrior [Feyenoord 3] is still on the proposed site for "CazadorDeAmor" ... I could offer to settle 1 square to the south-east, the Fish would be in my BFC, I have a Work-Boat being built in UnPocoLocoDAmor to drop on there ... maybe I could, as a sweetener, gift them that Pig of a city [I really should have razed it ] once it's built

If that is not what you desire, we want to have your word on it that you will not settle any sites west of the lakes eastern border between our two civilizations and that any other sites that you intend to settle in that general vicinity are discussed prior to training a settler/escort pair and moving them most of the way there. After all, we're friends, right? To that end, we wish to inform you that we intend to settle a site in the area with the next 10 turns, as it is the most organic evolution of our borders. We hope His Illustrious Majesty will understand that we believe the value of good friends in this harsh world is sometimes superior to a couple acres of forest.

We would like to thank his Illustrious Majesty for the poster. We have posted a lot of these around our cities and rumour has it that an huge increase in population is expected. Better than any Hanging Gardens, for sure.

On the subject of NAP's, we are glad to hear that you have made good deals with your neighbours. Hopefully we can have similar fortune.
However, until we our satisfied with the positive conclusion of these negotiations, we won't be interested in signing a similar NAP. That can be a discussion for later. Assuredly, given our history of cooperation, it shouldn't be necessary, right?

There is no need for Feyenoord 3 to bother himself with speaking to our Settler, the tribal grape-vine has finally reached him.

His Illustrious Majesty is always willing to discuss the peaceful settlement of Lake Shakira. However, He does not like being told what to do by so-called “friends” regarding where He puts cities within His natural borders.

The proposed site is 8 tiles diagonally north-west from WakaWakaShaka - the same distance that our culture spreads east beyond SheWolf. The lake tiles were not visible on the original area revealed by Ruff-Hi, however, their shape indicates that they were supposed to be the NW extremity of our area, this has been confirmed by discovery of a similar looking lake at the same distance to our south-east, albeit reversed. The fact that they do not extend a further 2 squares to the west, making the shape of a cross, would indicate that there may be some off-set in our positions. Therefore, did Whosit’s city not leak culture into your sovereign zone? You were happy to let us deal with it, as we saw fit, but now want to stop us settling in a similar position!

But His Illustrious Majesty is an honourable man, and does not wish a dispute on His western border as well as His north & south. In order to secure a NAP with yourselves, He is prepared to settle the city 1 tile to the south-east [below the Sheep] which would mean that the Fish are in the BFC. However, this would require your guarantee not to settle in such a way that you over-lap the Fish tile with your first ring – after all, the Fish tile is within our large square, is it not? And settling as such could be deemed aggressive, no?

Now the question of Whosit’s old city; we took it as he basically told us to go elsewhere, and then his culture leaked into our sovereign territory, as well as yours. Once the Work-Boat is completed in UnPocoLocoDAmor, in order to improve the Fish tile, His Illustrious majesty may be inclined to benevolently give it back to Whosit, so long as he fully respects the NAP he signed by accepting the cease-fire. We would be grateful if you could pass this on, as he does not respond to, or indeed acknowledge, any message we send him. We suspect he’s still licking his wounds.

Regarding further cities; our plan is to “back-fill” to link CazadorDeAmor to our capital with culture, by planting 2 further cities. Neither of these should affect you. Once these are in place, we will be expanding east; where we hope to bump into Malakai, again, or, indeed Kyan.

Settler & Shabba escort moved to site proposed in message to Nakor/Gaspar in readiness for their acceptance. Other, promoted, Shabbas are circling around the site as their Warrior prevents them entering the same square as Settler!!

Wyclef03 given Medic promo & now garrisoned in WakaWakaShaka, Archer (LilWayne01) building, Tupac04 to follow. Wyclef04 was built in SheWolf at end of turn [will also get Medic promo] and will be garrisoned next turn, then it's LilWayne02 and Tupac05 to schedule. The Catas [Timbalands] will not be ready for when the cease-fire ends as Construction takes 10 more turns @ 60% tech [but we can afford -4G/turn for the time being]

I DO NOT trust Whosit ... not one iota ... think it's a safe bet he's planning, nay plotting, his revenge ... and I'm beginning to get suspicious about Nakor/Gaspar, especially after that message of theirs ... his old city is slightly killing our economy, so the inclination to give it back after we improve the Fish is genuine, maybe it'll buy him off, and kill off his economy .. then Nakor/Gaspar can fuss about culture leakage with him instead

I just thought I would let you know that I recieved a message from my scouting warrior that your workers were left totalling exposed to him and he could have slain them at my command. In fact he even made a few suggestions of what I should have him do with the body. I told him to stay his hand, and hope that this act of kindness will show that we come in peace and hope that we can continue to be friends in the coming difficulties.

My warrior has been instructed to keep on moving and to let you know if he sees any dangers in your territory.
