That's why I have no clue.
About Bactrian, I think we could hold it. We're a bit short on Axes, though.

Domestically, I whipped the Forge in Sternum. New Scapula wasn't big enough to whip, so I'm sinking hammers into a Library. I wonder if I should just whip a Settler instead. I'm chopping the forests on the border between Catwalk and me to deny his troops a staging ground.
AT took the barbarian city of Bactrian:
He's first in Crop Yield and probably first in city counts. I'll send an Impi to take a look. Somehow, Kjn of all people is last in Crop Yield. My guess is that Oracled Forges slowed him down. I could be horribly wrong on that, though. I think AT's in the lead, his control of the rich grassland center will propel his Financial tech rate to ridiculous levels.

Domestically, I whipped a Forge in New Scapula. The chops in Os Coxae came in:
Currency came in, bumping up the research rate to 60%. Time for another city, spots marked out:
Domestic Adviser:
I think we should head for the Gems site next.

I decided to just whip the Forge. Sternum's almost ready for another round of whipping anyway.

I queued up a Settler in Sternum to be whipped next turn.
The Workers are roading to the new Gems city. I turned research to Horseback Riding, it comes in in 2 turns and leaves us with about 140 gold. What's next? Probably not Literature... Iron Working to clear the Jungles by New Scapula? Calendar to unlock Silks and let us settle a city in the northeast to grab Spices? Head up to Monarchy for Heredity Rule? Monarchy sounds good.
Also, I think Tibia will be a good military pump, since the grassland river cottages will be mostly worked by Sternum and Os Coxae.
How are we ahead of Kjn in Crop Yield?!?

Settler whipped for 3 pop. Worker labor and military protection has caught up to the site.

In tech news, Horseback Riding and Code of Laws came in. I started saving up cash, but I'm not quite sure what to spend it on. Iron Working to clear New Scapula's jungles, then Monarchy, I guess.
BRick settled the city of Pelvis:
Thanks for that. He also queued up a Settler in New Scapula:
That Settler's going to go for the Wheat/Deer city by AT. I'm not whipping it though, since worker labor and military protection isn't in the area.

In domestic news, I whipped a Courthouse at Tibia and a Market at Sternum. Iron Working let us see where our Iron is:
Border city by Catwalk/AT?
AT's sending some War Chariots to Kjn (or us, can't exactly tell):
The Settler at New Scapula competed, and the next city will be settled shortly.
In retrospect, I've been playing this game extremely cautiously - no major engagements besides that early choking stuff, while AT's running around with units everywhere. Hopefully Horse Archers will help, at the very least make defending easier.

The major news is that Ulna was settled as scheduled:
The Workers are farming that Wheat.
In research news, I accidentally dumped a turn of research into Civil Service. Whoops. Civil Service seems like a pretty good next tech, since happiness isn't a problem for the moment.
Sternum, Tibia, and Pelvis are all simply growing. New Scapula dumped a lot of hammers into a Courthouse last turn. I'll whip the Courthouse next turn, since New Scapula still has happy growth headroom.
Os Coxae's slow growth hurts:
I'm not sure if I should steal Sternum's Clams.
Domestic:
Overview:
Next city is either north of Tibia to claim the Spices, or a filler city near New Scapula. Either east of New Scapula to take the grassland cottages south of Sternum that aren't being worked, or south of New Scapula to grab the extra cows.
Demos are absolutely terrible, last in Crop Yield and MFG, and third in Soldiers, GNP, and Land Area.
