well TBS denouced me and I noticed that Alham and CMF has an alliance to russia is bordering Arabia? I was going to pass on the trader GM but I might need him now to get a trade route to lisbon to knock off suzarein from TBS. if TBS is actually bordering arabia, I dont see why I can't send my knights at him after I am done with arabia.

took Cairo, the capital this turn. I can't imagine that it will take more than 10 turns to finish Arabia off.

New city founded. Stonehenge done EOT. I just realized that Arabia had only 1 HS built so I will found the religion next turn instead of hoping to capture another HS that doesn't exist. Plundered Arabia's only trade route and a horse pasture for more gold but I spent about 350g of it this turn buying more tiles. Got the GM and sent trader to Flood hoping that it can reach Lisbon and complete the quest before I DOW Russia. I did unlock my UD so it's time to suzarein all the CSs.

District cost scaling really bugged me and now I realize why. While chop value is increased by the greater percentage of tech or civic researched, district cost scaling increases by both # of techs and civics. Why does the game punish people who are doing well? Firaxis have not learned the lessons ftom civ5

Argh cant make trade route from Flood to Lisbon. It was t112 when TBS denounced me so I have declare next turn to avoid the eureka. Will move trade to newly captured Arabian city and if that fails, I have to use the envoy from the acropolis done EOT in Hollywood.

I'm pretty sure chops and districts use the exact same scaler, actually, so that forest chops are always the same 30-ish percent of a district regardless (unless you lock a district way earlier than actually finishing it, at least).

That is not true. Right now a forest chop gets 80s cogs and a new undiscounted district costs 220s cogs. I read some where that each tech increases cost of districts by 4 and each new civic increases costs of districts by 10. Chops only scale by the bigger percentage of techs or civics researched

According to everywhere I can find that has formulas (CivFanatics, this very forum's attempt at a Civ VI balance mod), chops and districts use the exact same formula for the scaling cost, and the only difference is the base value of the thing to be scaled. Typical districts are 54 base cost (patched down from 60), forest chops are 20 base production, and harvests are base 25.

ok I stand corrected. I had misread your post of "30-ish" as "80-ish." That still doesn't make me feel any better about civ6 and it's absurd costs. frown Especially if the new patch will divide the overflow by the multiplier.
