Rome attacked our trireme stack. They killed 6 of our triremes for 5 of their triremes and 1 of their galleys.
I think 1:1 trades should favor me as I'll have steadier economy and production going forward.
We covered the injured triremes with new triremes and some of our galleys.
Rome also attacked out at my berserkers with a single praet and won that battle. I think that one was a desperation move to save Cumae.
First the easier battle. 7 berserkers vs 2 xbows and 1 praet.
The first 4 berserkers attacked and lost.
Leaving it to a 3v3. The odds were on my side still, but in the end I fell a little short as only a red health xbow remained.
The trade was 6 berserkers for 1 xbow 1 praet. Not great!
Not wanting to risk the same with Cumae, we instead went for Satricum.
We killed the desperate praet on the way, and also an xbow on the hill before it could get to a city. Still lost 2 berserkers though.
Next turn we can hopefully capture both Satricum and Mediolanum. Cumae will have to wait until catapults.
We already got the second GG spawn. I sent it to settle in the capital. It will be able to build double promo (+ navigation) ships.
Mjmd is advancing with little resistance. I think he'll be able to take the capital. That's a shame, but as long as Rome is destroyed the Vikings are happy people
Galleys killed: 14
Triremes killed: 9
Praets killed: 17
