Defense? What's that?
Up until Monday night I was using the same "Stealth" scale armor I've been using since Act II normal.
(But now I have a "Stealth" wyrmhide with 300-ish defense. I am teh tank!)

and welcome to RB!

You can't. Once you've submitted a post, you can only delete the body of the post via 'edit', but you cannot delete a post completely.

OK, some of us need defense. Dathon is among those of us who actually run up like idjits and get next to monsters. If he wants to reduce the amount of this... ...then he needs more than a breastplate.

Oh, is THAT why my experience bar tends to, ah, jump around so much!
Actually, this has been quite the learning experience. I've been primarily a ranged player, at least at higher difficulties (like Sirian, I too deplore the clvl-mlvl curve, hate wasting time leveling, and like to be able to post up melee without having to run away from everything). Trying to put the down on enemies with my glorified China doll has taught me quite a bit about fronting and danger level assessment. Though I still do smoke the and end up naked in town far more than I'd like

It took about 3 hours, but I finally managed to kill the Ancients last night. It took a combination of melee and bow work, with a bunch of faster cast rate items and about 1000 arrows... let's just say I'm glad it's over. Baal was somewhat anticlimactic, although since it was almost midnight by that point I decided melee was again the way to go. It still took about 45 minutes and somewhere around 200 greater healing potions.
ArtemisRed is level 60 and fresh into Hell difficulty. Since I don't know what area you guys are in, I went ahead and picked up all the Act 1 waypoints, so I should be good to go tonight (Thursday, hehe). I've also been keeping random extra pieces of equipment along the way that I thought may be useful, just in case anyone might find an upgrade among them. Most notable is probably a rare stilletto doing about 50-100 dmg with PMH on it, although I've also got a Plague Bearer (Rune Sword) and a Skewer of Krinitz (sadly, not the fabulously quick Blood Crescent). Diablo taunted me a bit by dropping a Skin of the Vipermagi, which I haven't yet had the will to sell to a vendor. *sigh*
Anyway, back to work for me. See you guys tonight.
Erick.

Erick did meet up with us tonight, and what's more, he was such good luck that we managed to clear the Pit in relatively good form. ArtemisRed's Ice Blast was also of great help when dealing with the shamans throughout Act1.
I had one very amusing picture to share, so I'm posting it below:
This one had me laughing every time I looked at it. I hope you all find it amusing too.

Hi,
thanks for posting all the screenies! For us lurkers, it's nice to see a Diablo report once again. This, together with Shadow's report about Huckleberry, actually got me playing D2 again.
I never had played a ranger before, and he's a lot of fun so far (mid-nightmare), playing single player, players 8 with full clears (won't do this in hell). Hm, maybe I'll report about my adventures here.

Did anybody take this? If not, I'd like it.
