Well in the screenshot you got the text to enter the top area, so if you clicked offer trade I think the message will go through. When I had Num Lock active I couldn't get Enter to work so the text never entered the top area.

He moved his warrior SW, it's now NE of the cows. His score increased to 39, as he grew to size two.

Strange he didn't respond. Unless he didn't get the message. As you mentioned, he played the save quickly. He has posted once or twice in his thread today I think.

How about we put a turn into a warrior as insurance, and move the warrior SW (I presume the crossing river penalty will more than offset the combat I in case he tries to attack).

And send him a new diplo message asking if the last one worked.

His chat message was a response to my first failed diplo attempt from two turns ago. I've already sent the save to Ruff.

No, that was because I sent the same message on chat and diplo window to maximize the chances of Ruff getting it.

Demographics:
Ruff grew and is working rice + grassland town.
His power increased 1k, is that from population then?

His life expectancy plummeted, and noone has 88 anymore so he was the one with a forest growth earlier.

Rival worst in crop yield is still 4, so presumably Ad Hoc is still working the town.

GNP:
Pegasus and TT working rice and researching BW - both have a GNP of 19.
Ruff has 7 culture + 4 ep + 15 commerce + 1 beaker into Agriculture for a GNP of 27
Ad Hoc has 9 culture + 4 ep + 14 commerce + 1 beaker = 28, so apparently a 1.2 modifier which makes a GNP of 31.

Average GNP = (19+19+27+31)/4 = 24, which adds up.

That's a bit odd, though as the only techs Ad Hoc can research with a pre-req bonus are Masonry, Meditation and Priesthood. (He started with The Wheel and Mysticism).
I guess Ad Hoc must really be gunning for the Oracle.
