[SPOILERS] Cornflakes and Q Eat 'Em for Breakfast!

Go deep.
We're. going to have to waste a lot of.time doubling back, especially as.that area cab be easily explored by scouts.
contacts are useful for espionage/ c&d purposes and circumnav would be invaluable late game.
@sian south/east has a lot.if jungle so ist very viable short term.
Why's there a hamlet on a 3f tile in the pics?

The 3f tile is sugar that's not along the river. I figured it would be better to cottage it now to take advantage of it rather than waiting for calendar (and since we already have a source under the cap for happiness so we might just leave the village rather than plowing over with plantation.

@Sian, we have a warrior completing about 7 turns before the settler. With it we can defogg the little peninsula to the NE and put our first city somewhere that shares cows/corn. By the time we're ready for city #3 we'll have time to loop it down around the south. So I think it's best to keep sending the scout west as long as he stays alive.

Turn rolled right as I was getting ready to leave, so I got to play it smile

Scouting direction for next turn?

AT researched a 2k tech in 7-turns ... has to be Mining. TT is rival best and 2metra rival worst for power (makes it easier to assign the next increase because we can watch these). Everyone must have gone worker-first because we don't have any pop increases yet.
EDIT: these numbers might be useful later on
> Population score: 5000 / 1530 = 3.268 pts/pop
> Land score: 2000 / 1673 = 1.95 pts/land-tile

I'll be out for 12 hours now so I probably won't get another shot of the demos before the turn rolls over (which I don't really mind because that means we're moving quickly jive )

jive indeed!
That captures my attitude to them perfectly...
Onto the hill right?
Do you remember the dares everyone settled?

As to the sugar...my inclination is to only cottage it if we intend to later on. - If the intention is to hillside it is rather cottage a grass tile and keep the village.

Of the 99000 rival land; we know that 19000 is one rivals, (7)15000 is jowys and (6)14000 is the non creative who settled on the second turn.
The other 3 are split between 51000.

Interestingly, no opponent has an all land capital, though the
PITBOSS 8 SPOILERS (LEWWYN)
19 tile BFC could look like the lewger capital
This has important implications, firstly it sets us at a distinct disadvantage for tGLH runin the short term, but secondly it gives us perhaps the best beaurocap (an advantage excentuated by the river, the grass-all capital and our being financial. Relatively minorly it also gives us a. cottage centre that's not vulnerable to to boating)
This means that we should priorities setting up this city, both in cottaging and adding priority to techs like civil service and education.

I'm dedlurking Commodore in pitboss 8 so I have to remain unspoiled.

My thoughts about a monster beurocap were essentially the same. That's part of the reason I think it's a good idea to place our second city 2N of the ivory, especially if our warrior uncovers another source of food. From that location it can grow four cottages for the capital. Monarchy is also another key tech to raise our happy-cap so that we can work as many tiles as possible. Once we get infinite HR-happy we grow like a weed with +11 food & granary.

Given that so many other civs have coastal starts and we don't have fishing/sailing/masonry in our tech path yet OR a close site with lots of forests I don't think we should make a run for TGLH. After mysticism, writing for a library + scientist -> early academy is probably a good idea (or we can evaluate the oracle potential, because we could use that to grab Monarchy early or MC for IND forges). We'll hopefully know more by T45 when we have to start thinking about our next goal.

Autocorrect issue on phone? The TURNS everyone settler were BC, Jowy, and At on T0; Azza, TT, and 2metra on T1.

We want to take advantage of the extra food. Let's cottage sugar an start working it ASAP. We don't ever have to build a plantation if we don't want to.

I agree on ivory soon, and on tglh.
Yeah meant to say date, that means tt with the 6/14 cap.
Disagree on sugar, its an extra +1 happy to trade, and the caps hardly lacking in food.
I think we should consider religion/shrine if we land henge, useful on a large map

If religions still stand then I wouldn't mind picking one up smile OrgRel is also a nice boost on building production. However I think that Writing for an early academy is more important here. As we've already said, our capital is going to be a monster, so I think it would be better to generate our first Great Person as a Scientist and take the Prophet whenever it comes down the road after we've had a chance to spread the religion around.
