The "get us to our other war techs faster with Printing Press" war tech
Honestly, I don't think we're going remain at war (or at least active war) with xenu after we take (and likely burn) Krabbe. Xenu will be down to 4 cities (maybe 5 if he kept the plako city, but the tracker says that's unlikely), has little to no GNP or production, and what's left of his power appears to be fighting off plako relatively well (unless he did a sneak-burn, like with Duncan). Heck, I might still go back to Gunpowder next turn; I don't think the difference between Muskets being 3 and 4 turns away is the tipping point of this battle
One of the other things that Paper does is give us an indirect GNP bonus, since it lets us know how close we are to receiving the max known-tech bonus on each tech, if we have the luxury. That's one of the reasons I don't like the Curaissier route that much--we already had to take a hit with Nationalism, and Military Tradition (and Music to a lesser extent) will be expensive.

Well, I hope you're all happy--pictures are here for BaII, as everyone else who read xenu's thread knows we lost everything that was on that hill and we're about to lose the entire south. What you don't know is that plako wiped out basically everything xenu used in that attack--and to think I was going to come with the idea of wiping out plako's stack before seeing the massacre in the making. This is really what I did not need right now for my mental state, so I'm not doing any more--everything I said to xenu about maintaining turn pace goes out the window, as I'm putting this down for at least 24 hours. If you want to play BaII, feel free, I'll be around possibly (especially if you PM me).

I have a debate tournament tomorrow, I can't cover for you sorry. You just picked a really bad timing. Although I would say you need to drop everything and just start whipping.

It won't matter though--the only way xenu doesn't take out the entire south if plako makes him disappear (which won't happen, since he has that city across the water). Not to mention even if we did manage to only get 3 or 4 cities burned, it means we are completely uncompetitive for the rest of the time, and we might as well just give our territory to plako (or heck, just let xenu have it).

And if having lost this game wasn't bad enough, xenu just PMed this to me:

Perhaps you can see why this is a bit of a downer for me:

Particularly since your predecessor allegedly* did the same thing a while back.

Please stay out of my thread.
Thanks,
Xenu
*He said it wasn't him, but that it was his brother using his computer reading my thread before, but all I have is the log to go on. I really don't know what to say about this--I was replying to a thread at this time, but it was this thread, not xenu's thread! And if I was going to cheat, why would I cheat against xenu (who I know has IP lookup powers by virtue of being a mod), and why would I cheat now (after xenu's shown his hand)? I mean, I have been considering never joining a game again after my bad experiences in PBEM58 and in my first stint here (and this mess certainly joins the pile), and joining here was only out of obligation of liking the idea of this game (and wanting to see it finish), and I'm still not touching the game until tomorrow sometime regardless, but why should I even touch this game (or any games here, for that matter) after this? I mean, I can't explain what happened (unless it's a problem server-side, like an off-by-one error or something--or god-forbid, something malicious on xenu's part), but I can't disprove it--that's my IP address, and surely xenu just posted it in his thread, so everyone would know about it even if I didn't post this.

Xenu wouldn't go around posting other people's IPs, and the fact that he contacted you via PM should have been your clue that he didn't want to make a public issue out of it.
The fact that it says you were "replying" to his thread suggests it's a bug to me. I've seen stuff like this before- you don't even need mod powers, just view the "Complete List" for Who's Online, and it'll show you what all the non-invisible people are doing; sometimes people will be "replying" to threads without ever posting anything. Whatever the case, I wouldn't sweat it.
I would delete that image you posted showing Oxy's IP tho. Actually, I just deleted it for you. Apologies, but you shouldn't post that sort of thing publically, especially since someone (I'm assuming Xenu) went ahead and blocked out all the other ones.

Sorry about showing Oxy's IP, I assumed that it would have already have been posted--though I don't think the IP gives that much information regardless; mine isn't accurate with regards to location, and Oxy's likely changed already (assuming a dynamic IP).
Again, the replying part isn't a bug necessarily, since I made the previous post (the one responding to BaII) at that exact time, but why would it say I was in xenu's thread? And if these kind of bugs are common, why would xenu be so direct? I don't know if he followed my PBEM58 mess, but there are two warning signs from that game, both that I've faced an (unintentional) cheat before, and that clearly insurmountable odds put me on tilt really, really badly (even if he couldn't have seen the meltdown earlier in this game).
As for the "don't make it public" school of thought, I strongly object to that--not only did I have reason to believe xenu mentioned it in his thread (posting in his thread after sending the PM), when serious stuff like this is mentioned and meant to be kept quiet, it betrays the open spirit of trust that lets us have these threads in the first place. I mean, it's not like I went into the tech thread to defend myself (though a lot of that is based on my lack of a defense, especially since "xenu is about to demolish me" isn't exactly the right thing to tell the other players

Xenu is an excellent admin, but he isn't infallible nor necessarily aware of all of MyBB's glitches. He was probably on edge from the earlier incident with Oxy's brother plus the in-game situation, the stressfulness of which I think you can attest to personally
Your reputation is fine, don't worry about it. Xenu was being prudent by contacting you privately. Publicly accusing someone of cheating on the basis of evidence that turns out to be a forum bug would not have gone over well.
