Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

[Spoilers] I have enough games already. Oh look, a PBEM !

City where the warrior is seems alright, but why do you want to move 5 and lose the cow?

Because the current location forbids a city S of the cow which would be an acceptable filler. Nowhere else to put a filler in the area actually.

I founded Archimedes this turn, which is a net commerce gain (3 maintenance but already 4 commerce). Not much happening, I decided for a 4th worker before the 4th settler (built in the cap). Thales will get some units out, the first in power is Sian's agg zulu civ so I want some more phalanxes out.

Here comes the nuisance.

In other news we met Grimace in the west. I offered world maps because it's clearly beneficial to us, we're suffering from lack of scouting.

Oh, I had thought Sian was located to the south, but now it seems rather eastwards? The other possibility is that that sea SE is a big lake, actually.

I've just taken what could be my last turn before leaving (unless the turnspeed keeps being great and we have another turn today). Grimace took the map deal so I suggest you take a look at the new map. Next turn Thales finishes a phalanxe which should go east in case Sian's impi jumps at us. The scouting phalanxe should stop scouting because we're pretty close to grimace in the west and I want to settle site n°4 soon now. So it's going to take position on the future city site while Thales builds a settler. Pythagoras should double whip the worker, then build a phalanxe, then build either a worker or a settler. I feel like I'm running short on workers or I'd go for the settler without a second thought. Be careful, it's currently set on a settler next, you'll have to change it to a phalanxe manually.

A scouting WB is becoming more and more important, there are two potential island sites 3E4N of the cap and 4W3N of Thales, they might be attached to the continent (PB22 traumatized me) but if they're islands I want to settle them sooner rather than later.

The worker between Archimedes and Thales should start roading west to site 4. The worker east of Archimedes should finish roading to the gold (which should coincide with the border pop) and then mine it. Meanwhile Archimedes can work the FP and the fin lake. The worker NE of Thales finishes chopping (it'll happen after we get maths) then mines the hill he's on. The new worker in Pythagoras should cottage the grassland SW of the city then road the tile SW of that then start roading to site n°2 (unless you think it's not worth it to finish the road between Archi and Pyth in which case just road to site 2 and build a settler for it).

I think Sian came from the SE (south of site 3) which makes sense : it means Retep is in the northeast (NE of site 7).

Sorry for lack of screenshots lurkers, I have a million things to do today and didn't take the time to take pictures.

I'll look into it, probably not before tonight though

Played t41 and added a shitload of signs. You won't be lost. I'm leaving this game in your hands, I hope you can report a bit so I can follow and discuss the game from the US.

I'll do my very best. With 65 off again it will be easier. Although I certainly will not be able to keep up the current 2t/d pace

situation:

I went ahead onto the gold hill with the warrior, and found a second barb. That means that if I move the worker onto the hill next turn, we are risking to lose him to the barb. Granted, our warrior is c1 and on a hill, but I've had some really bad warrior-vs-warrior experience lately (lost the same site to barbs three times in Adventure 62 before ragequitting lol), so I'm inclined to wait for the phalanx to get things clear. Meanwhile the worker could start cottaging the FP he's on. You've got 1.5-2h before I go to bed.

Also, Sians Impi is on dot 5 now. If he declares next turn, I could be tempted to bait him with Pyth's warrior in order to let the phalanx eat him, what do you think? (although, Phalanx vs C1 Impi on a forested hill could actually be quite risky - still, I'd expect the Impi to take losses against the warrior as well)
