Checking PBSPY shows that he didnt whip AT ALL the last 4 turns. INCLUDING this turn, facing down a rather large stack of knights and a follow up stack of assorted things +cats... What does he have to counter this? ![]() Hmm... I can only assume that he is using something different to protect himself. Is it this? So ill put this as politely as possible. If he doesnt start whipping (and honestly this looks like he is just durdling around already..) i want to call for him to be replaced as to actually have a credible defense in what has been a really fun map to play on. I dont want this game to be won because Ruff decided to take a snooze. (no clue if he has something IRL going on, and if so should have gotten a replacement anyway imo)

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."-Old Harry. PB48.
Operation win this pb without going to war before Rifles is a GO...... :D

I dont think i will be able to make it quite to there before the game is called. Rifles/cav/cannon and maybe take a chunk out of someone who is at war.. And win before tanks? My research speed outside of a golden age is quite a bit ahead of my rivals. Im sad at the few production cities i have, and providing the land is roughly the same, others have few production cities as well. So perhaps a Golden age into drafting rifles = win? Im thinking i should be able to use the free Liberalism tech on something decent before someone forces me to tech it. Would be nice to get Rifling or Steel with the free tech...

Alright... quick recap (in no real order)
Ive declared on no one. Ruff declared on me, and i took a city from him with no combat. Serdoa has RL issues and bows out and Cairo steps in. Jowy steam rolls Ruff. AT and Tarkeel get in a fight and i cant really tell if anyone actually gained anything out of that. Cairo sets up to hit Jowy's stack in Ruff lands and then Ruff trolls everyone and the turn order (in addition to his lack of whipping/defending/playing like the Ruff i always seem to border...) and declares on Cairo. Cairo and Ruff sign peace. Jowy signs peace with Ruff. Ruff's culture expands and covers my sheep, and prevents Jowy who signed peace 3 turns ago from escaping with his stack... and he doesnt have open borders and Cairo does (with Ruff) Tarkeel launched back to back GA's with the help of a very nicely timed Taj build and then... picked up monk wonders? So, where am i in all this mess? ![]() ![]() Thats my "rough" tech path. With Chemistry being grabbed next to ensure i have a decent choice for liberalism should i need to tech it. Currently only maybe Cairo can even start teching liberalism.. but i think he needs education ill know in a couple turns when i myself get Alphabet. Either way i SHOULD have some turns notice and i dont think anyone can 1t liberalism while i have it teched to 10% or so research being enough to complete. ![]() AT is just now getting Engineering and i dont see him as a threat outside of maybe... Galleon harassment? I have ALOT of caravels running around to prevent myself from being surprised. No clue what Jowy's tech path is, Amicalola/Tarkeel are probably going for Cuirs to i assume run over AT? God... i really hope Cairo takes out Jowy's stack so i can draft myself some rifles and take some land before im too badly out-produced. Speaking of Cairo, he is going to have Cuirs next turn. Very curious to see what he plans on teching next. Hopefully no one realizes just how deep i plan on going in the tech tree before using my free tech. ALSO, Check out how little of the map i DONT have discovered. Both are seas that are hard or impossible for me to reach until probably Airships. Its the little things at this point, because if my draft-till-i-drop plan doesnt work and Cairo fails to slam Jowy's stack, im going to be hard pressed to do ANYTHING due to having excess food/research but only 3 cities or so with any production worth even building a factory in. Its kinda funny/sad.. Really wish RTR workshops were in CTH.

PB48. ![]() LOOK.... at that export/import lol Graphs
![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() The tripartite pact is a go. WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF CAIRO SENT A SCOUT FORWARD and idk... DESTROYED JOWYS ENTIRE ARMY... but alas, things apparently arent going to happen: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() His stack is going to sit there till Jowy can declare on Ruff... Much sad. ![]() I get alphabet next turn which will let me know exactly how far ahead/close i am to Cairo, but otherwise... Looks like my tech lead will continue for awhile (other than Amicalola/tarkeel having PP/RP before me) AND of course, Military tradition but that is such a cheap/easy tech that im not worried. However, seeing how far behind Jowy is in tech is what is pushing me to keep my lib bonus tech for as long as possible. If i can somehow lib idk, INFANTRY ill be soo happy, especially with the 2 cities that can produce infantry without taking 15t due to the low amount of actual production cities around. Did i screw up with my city placements? Probably. ![]() Cairo got the Sistine chapel 2t before i would finish it. Bummer, but at least the fail gold will hold another turn of teching for me. ![]() Jowy has Galleons, and i just finished Astronomy because i wish to use my tech advantage to use frigates/Ship of the Lines to take ALL OF THE ISLANDS and use drafting + eventually rifles (estimated 6t or so away) or infantry (id guess 20t away? maybe less?) I have vision on practically everything that matters. Have i played this game seriously in the end? Have i beat Commodore's "Superdeath always wars/rushes/is annoying"? t184, and not 1 single combat yet. But the world is heating up my dear lurkers. Stay tuned!
