Well that sucks. Lost Maurice Levy (and 3 workers...) to a knight attack one turn before we got engineering in. Crappy timing that.

Obviously not good to lose a city, although since Hangzhou is twice as large as Maurice Levy it should be able to make up for the loss. I can't see Speaker settling that area unless he's really confident, the GA bomb is just too good a border site for him. I'm thinking get out a pike, longbow, a couple of the hangzhou knights for the city and a lb and pike pair for a little bit of forewarning and a settler should be enough for the initial resettling. But yeah, as long as Luddite doesn't build a pike this turn, trading Maurice Levy for Hangzhou is not a terrible outcome. |
