Superdeath takes it seriously

last turn or so (did a double turn) i saw that AT was able to tech liberalism and had 3t left on it. So i had to blow it on steel earlier than i wanted to, but i got to hold onto the possibility for quite a while..

So i swapped this turn into Free Religion + Nationhood to start drafting muskets in cities that look like AT/Jowy could hit. I used extra funds to upgrade 4 caravels to frigates and i hope to be able to eventually take the astro islands and all other islands in my sphere of influence. This game will likely be decided by who can deal the most damage to the other in the next 20t. If for instance, Cairo can keep Jowy's stack from running off for awhile, ill be able to get a nice knight/cav stack to grab some land while my rifle/cannon stack keeps it out of his hands. Frigates/galleons and a couple ironclads will keep the ocean mine, as i intend to outproduce and outtech Jowy in the long term. Tarkeel/Amicalola are teching very nicely and will be my chief rival if everything goes down how i think. Ideally, Jowy declares on me and thru our defensive pacts basically declares on everyone other than AT.. Tarkeel attacks AT, and me and Cairo take down Jowy... and then i proceed to stomp Cairo with tanks.. THIS TIME. No culture victory for you!

Everything is 1t-able with Buro so Nationhood hurt the capital a little bit, but it will still be able to 1t/2t everything i need.

8 frigates so far!

Yeah, so tech wise its basically Ruff-----------AT--Jowy-Cairo-------Tarkeel-Me.

Tarkeel is up RP(which im finishing EOT) and constitution/Military tradition. Im up Education/Astro/Chemistry/steel/lib with lib being about the same usefulness to some people as Monotheism/Drama so can probably count that out.

Tarkeel and I will be at rifles about 10t before Cairo if my math is right and several turns more than that before Jowy. AT will never get to rifles before he dies is what im predicting.

Anything i missed/any lurker wants to know or see?

How to: Taking 4 cities total from 2 enemies. Going to be about 6-7t from now, but i "should" be able to take 3 off of AT (ill raze 1) and 1 off of Jowy from a single galleon stack spot. Another galleon stack spot will take 2 other Jowy cities + be able to help with the 1 longbow that i believe is in his northern island. Goal is to capture most/all islands and raze the all coastal cities belonging to Jowy that i cannot safely capture. I dont want to cripple AT tooooo much as i want him to have an answer of some kind to Tarkeel, but i feel like Tarkeel will run over AT like Jowy did to Ruff... I assume either real life or lack of interest (dunno how, this map has been AMAZING besides its lack of production) has made both AT and Ruff not want to react/defend well? Idk. I dont have vision on any AT stack, but Tarkeel is coming with Cuirs and Cavs soon.

saving some pop for rifle drafting. Tarkeel has declared on AT.. which gives me in a couple turns the chance to take a bunch of cities.. Really hoping to see Cairo actually do something with his Cuirs, like attack Jowy.

How does it feel to not have been in a real war earlier than this? This is some kind of record right?

Also, do you think you should have done more earlier / any other thoughts before things get hot?

It feels... Weird. It IS a record for me anyway.

Id have liked to have taken more of the middle/rocky area from Cairo or Jowy (just one more city in each direction) If more cities than just the capital and some LATE-r cities had any production, i might have been tempted to use my Keshiks, but having Jowy of Sac alters, and Serdoa of im-better-than-you along with OPHants as neighbors... i didnt like any of my choices

Forgot to take screenshots, but took 4 cities this turn. 2 from AT and 2 from Jowy. I wanted to take more, but Amphibious attacks have alot worse odds than i remember. I did end up getting a pretty funny Caravel vs galleon 10% win which made my day.

I eliminated most of Jowy's fleet i do believe, so its probably just Galleons and Ship of The Lines from him from here out.. Im going to need to pump Frigates till i get Military Science for my own SoTL. If Cairo joins in vs Jowy, that will be the ABSOLUTE best case scenario, as i can then take my time cleaning up the sea.

Goal is to capture those 2 island cities. Its gonna be awhile...

His first SOTL have appeared, and im 2t from my own. However, ive sunk his battleship rolf  And he has nothing but Galleons roaming right now. 1 of which also lost to a random Caravel that i had... so thats 2 galleons sunk for the price of 1 caravel. popcorn

I had originally wanted to grab AT's islands down here, but looks like Amicalola/Tarkeel are grabbing them. So ill have to be content with the islands closer to AT's homeland.

Last turn i captured the inner sea city from Jowy and apparently he didnt bother to stuff anymore units into a size...11? city. He had a galley and an axe in the city i REALLY hope it was a filled galley as that will be the best sacrificial rifle ever.

Cairo looks like he will probably just take a small bite out of AT, which is... Fine, but not what I want...

Any questions?
