[Spoilers] darrelljs (FDR)

I was just re-reading the juicer parts of Krill's thread again and I noticed this little nugget:

Krill Wrote:I then approached Dreylin (and SL). Drelyin, SL and myself agree to attack Darrell

I wonder if that's really true. The agreement I had with SL (and Ruff) required notification of impending hostility, and I can't think SL would have broken that clause.

Scientific Method is in. Everyone has Oil. In the ocean. Well played, T-Hawk.

Let's see Platics requires Replaceable Parts -> Steam Power -> Railraod -> Combustion and Physics -> Electricity -> Assembly Line -> Industrialism. So yeah, pretty much the game is meant to be decided by the wind. I guess SL with Magellan's could do something defensive with Ironclads, assuming Coal is not in the ice caps.

In other news my GS likes Physics more than Biology.

I didn't touch the oil. What you see is what the map script spawned. Probably good that it did that instead of giving some players oil on land and some on water.

Krill has possession of at least one Samurai. That came to Krill from Ruff via you, right? What was the situation leading to that - I don't see any mention of samurai anywhere in this thread?

Timeline:

1. I agree to trade Dreylin Steel.

2. Krill somehow figures it out and asks me not to, but I refuse.

3. Dreylin contemplates aligning with Krill against me.

4. In anticipation I ask Ruff for many units, which he provides (including Samurai).

5. I get Krill to abandon his Dreylin collaboration for an island (or so I thought!).

6. I decide to gift Krill my army to avoid the need for close coordination. I had my entire stack on his border and move/gift it; the Samurai was in this stack.

Krill realized you can build Destroyers with Uranium. I got a GS last turn and with his gold was able to bump up to 100% research, so I'll have the tech end of next turn and we will know where Uranium is. The only downside is that I'm teching so fast Dreylin won't have Steam Power finished by the time I'm ready to go for it (needed for Combustion).

And you will have been expecting this for the past 3 or 4 turns.
me: Eh?
de: Ruff
3 SoL, 1 frigate and 1 galleon can attack 2 of my cities next turn
me: What about him?
Oh
de: yes.
Oh

Yup, Krill posted about it in detail. I don't think it's a spoiler if I say I'm rooting for the world team to take down Krill. smile

I dialed up Ruff to see what he was trying to accomplish. He claimed (and I am inclined to believe him) that all units on the Galleon have debarked, even though there are no visible units on land. Ruff gave me "permission" to pass this along to Krill, which I did. I'm pretty sure I figured out what he's up to, and I'm also pretty sure Krill will figure it out. I will be very interested to see his response.

As an aside, Ruff seems to enjoy making me play guessing games smile.
