The planned location of the city of Davids is 4S2W of the city centre of CazadorDeAmor. If my recollection is correct (I don't have the save in front of me, the NW most tile in our city will touch the SE most one in yours, so there shouldn't be any difficulty connecting the two cities by road, other than finding the spare Worker labor hours.

Well ... it could've been worse [or better depending on your point of view] at least it's a lake we already knew about, in fact the ONLY other lake we know about [probably the reason why the game dumped it there] the location of other lakes is pure speculation. It is where I've planned a city, but this will need careful negotiation with Kyan to avoid a repetition of what happened with Whovus. There's actually something else I'd like to discuss too. From his profile, Kyan's located in Kent. Indeed, from the organizing thread, both he and Malakai stated that their also from the UK, so could be natural allies [or enemies] for me. Considering his current lead, it would make sense to 'cozy up' to Kyan first:

HIM instructed I take a look at your forum profile in the alternate reality called "The Real World". I notice that you are also from Kent, and that maybe you were seeking a partner in this game to avoid becoming the subject of what I believe is called a 'dog-pile'. Judging by their early diplomacy, the crazy Dutchmen of Totaal Voetbal appear to be obsessed with your civilisation, and how it's favoured by this weird map, and could be plotting something along those lines.

I recall from our previous discussion that you could easily "chop out an army" if you wished, but how about we trade my military advantage with your economic one, i.e we swap doubly-promoted Axes [or Spears, or whatever] for Fast Workers?

On another note, due to a mistiming or misreading of Whovus' culture, my Work Boat got flung across my territory into the lake to my south-east. This lake is south of the city location we discussed for your expansion. I am therefore seeking your agreement to my settlement there. I do not plan to settle there for sometime though, as I have to balance the books with the city to my north-west first, but I would like a deal struck with you first.

Also requiring careful negotiation, is getting Nakor/Gaspar to shift where their proposed border city is going to be. It looks a bit too far into "our territory" ...



I will try to negotiate that it moves 2 tiles further west at least, as my original settlement plans included those deer!!!

One of our Quechua has wandered down to look at the site you mentioned for the settlement of "Davids". HIM is not pleased as the location is directly south the lake tiles and therefore clearly within our sovereign territory. HIM would like me to negotiate for it to be located 2 tiles further west and 1 north, so that only the 2nd ring lies in line with the lakes (you still get the Sheep tile which we clearly cannot work). HIM already had plans to expand onto that Deer tile south of our city at a later date.

Incidentally, HIM foolishly accepted the repositioning of CazadorDeAmor with now disastrous results. The cultural regrowth of DropShortALitre, after it's return to Whovus, has meant that he now controls the Fish tile and our Work-Boat has been flung across our lands to a lake in the south-east! It is going to take some hard bargaining to secure those resources now! To say HIM is "beside himself" is putting it mildly!

HIM would like to applaud you on the cultural regrowth around DropShortALitre since we returned it to you. We clearly had not expected such a rapid expansion!

Naturally, now we have Terrace in CazadorDeAmor, the Fish tile will eventually fall back under our control. However, due to a border settling agreement with the Totaal Voetbal Empire, we do not have the capacity to build a Work-Boat there. HIM wondered if we could come to an arrangement whereby you could improve the tile for us in return for a share in the future commerce from it.

Incidentally we are pleased to advise you that the one we built whilst we had your city has miraculously found some water! Sadly is too far away to be of any use at this time.

We would like to condole HIM with the loss of the precious Fish resource. We have decided to hold a benefical soccer match between the teams of Overmars and Van Persie. The money we make will be used to buy fish for HIM. We'll send them to your ruler once we have gotten the road finished between our civilizations.
Can you tell us more about this mysterious relocation of a unit? It sounds like a neat trick we can use sometime in one of our matches.
Do you have any plans in play for getting the fish back? And is there any way we can help HIM?
We hope this issue can be resolved without bloodshed, though we are aware of HIM's temper.

Regarding the other issue you mention, we're sorry to hear that HIM [may he be wise beyond his years] isn't that happy about the site on which we propose to build Davids in HIM's honor.
We consider Davids to be on the border between out two civilizations, and therefore we wanted to discuss this site in the deal we made earlier with HIM. However, of HIM feels that Davids would fall within your soverign territory, we would like to discuss recompensations we can give HIM for the difficulty HIM has with the site. We are open to any suggestions from your side.
The site you propose we relocate Davids to is no way near as good as the site we propose, to there is no benefit for us whatsever to agree to that proposal.
