Not much changed in Adhoc land ... still sticking my neck out here ...
TT didn't heed the warning ... took soldier screen shots before and after sinking the galley - average power drop of 500, so TT lost 2000 (just the value of a galley).
And, finally ... is this game getting interesting enough for you?

Pretty dull round ... - typical cat attack from adhoc
- mecca gets its defenses reduced to 0%
- I bring up some more attacking units @ mecca
- Adhoc moves those maces / pikes into mecca
- Adhoc's iron city is blockaded
- I get a GSpy (50%) after End-o-Turn
- TT moves maces and HAs in on Adhoc's East

I'm curious about great spies since we rarely see tech stealing be possible: how many beakers could an EP bomb steal for you these days? How effective would he be in other ways?

Ruff_Hi Wrote:Here is an update on my espionage economy. I recently stole Engineering from NSA and walls / citadels quickly sprung up in my cities. To update that, at max EP, I am currently generating 72 EPs (0%) and 542 (100%) (more details below) and my max EP discount is down to about 15%. I've been running max cash for about 4 turns lately ...
Ruff_Hi Wrote:- turned EP spending off for a few turns (why?)
... so I have about 6 or 7 turns of max EP up my sleave. NSA are a few techs up (optics) but nothing critically important (and I have spies waiting, ready to catch up anyway).
Re Great Spy, EP bomb nets 3000EPs or about 6 turns of EP output. My other options are scotland yard somewhere (capital already has it) - tech bulb isn't an option with GSpies (I think) - I am planning on using him to kick off my first Golden Age and to really get this war machine rolling.
My capital is generating 225 EPs (max) - next best city is 52 EPs. Capital's output is 52 x 1.5 + 16 + 6 all times 2.25. After I start my GA (and ignoring the tile bonus from the GA), that will drop as I will lose the Burea multiplier (losing about 60 EPs), however, I will pick up the nation wide 25% lift from Nationhood (542 - 60 all times 1.25 ... 602).

For a nice example of the EP economy, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yk_OlS9H7ko
His micro is quite sloppy, but he's recording a video. His jokes on the other hand are terrible. Anyway, the point is that you can get some crazy strong commerce multipliers and beaker dividers using the EP system, it's just really micro intensive and slightly risky at points.

- 4 rifles drafted, sent to the front

Civic Swap
Impact of Golden Age and Civic Swap
My first (of many to come) 10XP siege unit
TT and his vow / threat ...
... and why it doesn't really worry me
Adhoc has abandoned his capital and his Southern city and is sending his units to a location where they will fight and might actually win (as opposed to fighting me ). You can see (again) how Adhoc is suffering because of his poor road network.
