[SPOILERS] Jkaen is Peter of Inca

Well done, I felt sure we would need 2 forest chops to stand a chance. What is the other worker doing now?

Will be close, but fingers crossed we will beat them (if one of the other teams gets it before us or noble now cry )

Initially had the same feeling - but after that I realised that the capital will grow to size 6 in 2 turns => more citizens could be sacrificed in a whip-effort. wink

Quote:What is the other worker doing now?

He is heading to the chopping site in order to help the other to finish the chop in time.
Please don't neglect this - and move it at the same location to double the first one !! Otherwise we could be in big trouble ... as long as I belive that every turn could be critical !! duh

We should do no mistake on the next 4-5 turns ! wink

Also please inform me about the exact hammer production of capital in this moment when you get the save again. smile

Ok, np.

Think the other teams are wondering why there was a pause, our post count exploded upwards and people started posting in the lurker thread? lol

For those lurkers tracking our race, Ioan has raised the question if either of us ever actually revolted us into slavery or not, I know we didnt revolt to relgiion, but I thought we did slavery.

If I am wrong, then that puts us another turn back obviously

Got the save and I'll play it in few minutes ... if JKaen is not around. smile

Bad news ... we wasn't in Slavery cry.
Sort of good news - our production is 8 hammers/turn.

Need to redo some calculation but anyway - I revolted this turn.

Hmmm ... played the save and sent it ... we need to double-check my calculation but I belive that we still could get it at the end of researching Pottery ... which may came 1 turn earlier after ( another ) micro of our capital.

JKaen - please hold the save ( if you receive it in time ... however seems that it becames delayed in last 2-3 rounds, probably all teams do deep calculation :P ) until we will discuss more about strategy for next turns. wink

The main dilemma is that we could switch between
a. whales - which give us +2 commerce, -1 hammer;
b. forest - which give us +1 hammer, -2 commerce.

Both tiles give the same ammount of food - so impact on city increase is similar.

I switched to (a) - but actualy was during a revolt so doesn't matter yet - but this is likely to not be the correct approach. rolleye

So ... let's summarize :

Oracle - 61 hammers invested until now.
Pottery - 4 turns with (b), 3 turns with (a).

Now was T 46 - evolution will be like this in version (b) :

End of T 47 : Oracle 69 hammers. Pottery in 3.
End of T 48 : Oracle 77 hammers + 20 from chop = 97 hammers. Capital grow to 6. Pottery in 2.
End of T 49 : Oracle 105 hammers. Pottery in 1.
T 50 : Whip Oracle => 45 hammers = 150 + 8 produced hammers = 158. Pottery completed at EoT.
T 51 : ( if we are lucky ) Oracle will be built and we could choose Metal Casting. bow

Latter I'll try to add calculation for version (a).

Best regards - I need to hurry to work now. wink

Later edit : OK - let's check the evolution for version (a) - with whales worked instead of forest.

End of T 47 : Oracle 68 hammers. Pottery in 2.
End of T 48 : Oracle 75 hammers + 20 from chop = 95 hammers. Capital grow to 6. Pottery in 1. Allocate the extra citizen to work the forest.
End of T 49 : Oracle 103 hammers. Pottery researched - but we will be short of 2 damn hammers to do the 3 population whip in T 50 !! cry

So - I'd say that version (b) is better. But anyway - please check my math carefuly. smile

Best regards

You are basing our production at size 5 as being 8, and at size 6 being 8, is that right?

Mmm ... let's see :

In version (a) production will be 7 at size 5 and 8 at size 6.
In version (b) production will be 8 at size 5 and ... ??? at size 6.
