[Spoilers] Alhambram Comes Back for Moor, playing as Arabic-Moorish Civilization

Turn 67 and 68:

In my lands it is quiet, completed sailing at turn 68 and I decided to not wait for Horseback Riding anymore, it takes merely 2 turns left to research with my current research rate.

Next turn I can purchase two tiles west of Seville for encampment then at turn 70 chop that hilled forest and finish walls/start encampment at Seville (builder is standing at deer tile now).

Granada shall start holy site after water mill, it has international reason:

Both Japper and Krill captured religious city states with finished holy sites (La Venta and Kandy respectively). Therefore race for next Great Prophet has started and because Pindicator got his Great Prophet very early, it is still worth 60 GPP to claim.
Pindicator asks for open borders, I reject since I still want preserve information monopoly by meeting everyone, also I want keep my opponents in dark about existence of Zanzibar as long as possible.
Also my DoF with Japper has expired, I re-offered him DoF for till turn 98. If he accepts, perfect. If he rejects, I should expect a hostile legion rush from Japper (his city defense still shows 10 by the way, so no legions yet).
And my scouting archer found Dead Sea natural wonder close Krill's empire.

Lastly I want to say that it don't look good for CFCJesterfool right now, for starters his score:

My score is 90 by the way thanks finished tech Sailing. Japper and me got 5 cities, Krill and Pindicator 4, CFCJesterfool still at 3.
Moreover CFCJesterfool is in war with aggressive Krill with Great General and city Hattusa has yet to be attacked.
Also his science per turn is around 11 and culture per turn around 6,5. Everyone else got much higher science and culture per turn at this moment.

This situation might give problem if Krill absorbs CFCJesterfool's empire at short or long rate. If I manage to resign DoF with Japper, I shall create if possible 4 settlers, 2 in west to fill up Vilnius peninsula and 2 in east at contested area. If I stabilize my situation in east, then a mamluk invasion against CFCJesterfool is a possibility given that he don't collapse against Krill already.
Reply

Turn 69:

Japper accepted DoF! Just with those two signed DoF's with Japper, I eliminated danger of Roman Legion rush against me. Now make sure that I get dozen Mamluks for defense (or offensive) at turn 98 when our new DoF wears off.

Finally Granada finished water mill and eureka for construction. Next turn start researching construction and I might swap Theology next turn for Games and Recreation, since it might be completed in 5 turns thanks inspiration from finishing construction, sooner that I am adopting Autocracy government, the better.

Krill also asked for open borders same as Pindicator, his scout is at borders of Valencia, again I say no against open borders for same reasons: existence of Zanzibar and keeping players in west and east in dark about each other.

Happy New Year guys!

Turn 70:
Chopped forested hill west of Seville to finish walls (eureka for engineering)  and start encampment.

It takes 25 turns... but best production tile that I am currently working with Seville is worth one production, after 3 turns culture picker shall pick 1Icon_Food 4Icon_Production deer tile.
Builder shall mine another iron mine and create tea plantation.

Cordoba finishes a worker and starts a new one (for Almeria, 2 fish resources), builder improved rice tile west of Cordoba to boost housing of Cordoba. After this he goes to ivory tile northwest of Granada, I did trade ivory away to Krill.
So I need some amenities soon when all of my cities starts grow beyond size 4. Also when holy site is finished, that is a envoy for Zanzibar and with one more envoy I become suzerain and gain 2 unique amenities resources from Zanzibar.

Almeria finished repairing monument and starts repairing granary. Valencia shall pick horse tile after 4 turns with culture picker.

International: Japper finally got his legion, his city defense increased from 10 to 30, thanks for DoF! Pindicator seems to go for next Great Scientist while CFCJesterfool aims for medieval Great General (and seem to suffer same fate as TheArchduke in PBEM 2, with other words, in medieval age CFCJesterfool might survive thanks Great General, but when muskets/cannons/cavalry arrives on battlefield he likely shall collapse quickly).

Turn 71:

Nothing special this turn, I did change my mind a bit, I am going chop forest NW of Cordoba to finish builder and start another one with overflow.

I wonder what Japper is going to do with his Legions, attack me is out question for 30 turns.
Attack against Pindicator? with his +5 American bonus and +10 bonus from defender of faith, totaling 15 extra strength bonus it is going pain in ass for Japper, even with Legions.
Rejecting DoF and attacking me was by far best option for Japper and he didn't grab that chance.

Turn 72:

Opened save and I face a nasty surprise:

2 barb swordsman and archer.  banghead

I had to abandon planned chop to bring builder in safety, he shall improve ivory tile at Granada. That forest NW of Cordoba shall be used other time, but not now.
Also I moved my units closer but not within 2 tiles range, I exposed my archer at 3 tiles of swordsman, hoping to bait them within range of Sevilla's walls.
I did notice barb scout dancing with Pindicator's scout several turns ago but forgot about it due conquest of Vilnius, now I need to clear up camp somewhere north.

International news: both Krill and Pindicator founded 5th city, now 4 players at 5 cities and CFCJesterfool still at 3 cities. But that might change soon since CFCJesterfool just put siege around Hattusa.

I might lose Hattusa's science next turn, Krill just put 4th envoy in it, becoming its suzerain. Hopefully it helps a bit but it seems that Hattusa is going fall next or after 2 turns.

I was totally wrong about Jester not going for Hattusa. Seems insane with a more powerful neighbor threatening him from the other side, but what do I know? Maybe he thinks it's the only way to get himself back in the game.

Turn 73:

Hattusa lives for one more turn, city is redlined now, next turn surely it shall fall. I did find new city state: Lisbon which is southwest of Krill's lands in tundra area, it has envoys from Krill and Pindicator.

And my situation around Cordoba, well barbs didn't take bait and I moved all my units around carefully.

Barb archer can hit either my archer (almost promotion) or swordsman, when it does, it dies next turn. I hope that at least one barb sword is going to tile within 2 tiles of Seville next turn.

Three of my cities grew this turn, which also mean tile rearranging. Encampment finished in 11 turns, holy site in 4 turns and next turn culture picker at Valencia shall pick up horse tile.

Next turn construction complete and maybe games and recreation civic.

I plan to swap to autocracy, Krill did adopt it past turn moving away from classical republic. Also he did seemingly put revelation policy card for extra Great Prophet points since Krill generates 3 GPP per turn now.
I can wait and let Krill take religion which he shall do in 18 turns with current 3 GPP per turn, but I am bit worried. Reason 1: he might take away Jesuit Education which I desire. Reason 2: this map is based upon map meant for 6 players (6 armed snowflakes), which mean 4 religions are possible, so I don't get Great Prophet if Krill grabs his. Therefore I plan to build Stonehenge, normally that is a crazy idea with China around, but Jester has yet build even one wonder! Not even Pyramids which is godly for China. And at this moment he seems more busy with warfare than wonder building.

So when I swap to autocracy, I adopt corvee and with autocracy government that is 25% bonus for wonder production and Cordoba can build it in 16 turns with current settings (12 turns with autocracy/corvee combo then). Also I has yet to chop forest NW Cordoba, I can do it for Stonehenge, but first clear area of that pesky barbs.

Turn 74:

Completed construction, start Engineering (I want research machinery next for watermills and crossbowman).
Pesky barb swordsman pillage rice west of Cordoba, but since it was already at full health, no health boost for barb swordsman. And neither of barbs fell for my bait, so I moved my swordsman at more bold position.

Turn 75:
Completed Games and Recreation, start Defensive Tactics since I want get Feudalism to cut research time of Stirrups.
Swap to Autocracy and made policy swap:

And I start Stonehenge at Cordoba. It seems that Krill reached same conclusion as me that Jester isn't interested in wonders since he did start Pyramids.

My swordsman was hit by barb archer and barb swordsman, I put it at heal/defense and 2 archers shot at other barb swordsman.

Turn 76:
Opened save to see interesting offer from Pindicator: he offers me coffee for free? I naturally accepted it. Well, why did he offer it to me, one of reason might be that Japper went nuts with amount campuses and his science has skyrocketed to 34 science per turn whereas Krill, Jester and me did get a science hit since Jester took Hattusa. And Pindicator probably noted that I has few amenities and decided to help me as neighbor of Japper. Coincidentally I did improve another ivory tile (finally covered that traded ivory to Krill) and tea this turns, so all my citizens are ecstatic and Stonehenge takes one turn less to finish.
And Pindicator declared war on Brussels city state according his diplomatic page.

And I managed to clear barb threat for majority, one barb swordsman suicides against my wounded swordsman. Another barb swordsman attacked my archer (who did survive) and was shot dead by city garrison and wounded archer. Full health archer shot then at barb archer, certainly killing it next turn. After healing all of my military units, I shall seek for camp in cold wilderness to prevent another invasion.

Next turn also chop for Stonehenge. I did put envoy in Zanzibar, next turn Suzerain and more amenities.
Situation don't look good for Jester, his walled encampment is under siege by Krill and is likely going be razed next turn. After that Krill shall go for Pan Mei likely.

Next turn holy site in Granada finished and I shall build monument, I need some extra culture now to keep up with Japper and Pindicator while Krill can farm culture by killing Jester's units.
Reply

Turn 77:

Killed barb archer and chopped forest near Cordoba, Stonehenge 5 more turns to complete. Next turn builder nearby Cordoba shall repair rice tile first and then go to Almeria to build two fishing boats for eureka of Celestial Navigation.

Finishing Holy Site did result in me suzeraining Zanzibar and all of my cities are happier than they ever shall be with amenities from Zanzibar, several improved amenities tiles past turns and free coffee from Pindicator.
I start monument in Granada, next turn Engineering complete and start Machinery. I did promote warrior in Cordoba into swordsman, after one more turn healing he shall search for barb camp somewhere in north.
Internationally: Krill was unable to raze Jester's encampment this turn, a little health left for Jester's encampment, further no real news.

Hm, I wonder what pindicator has in mind? Just an expression of friendliness? America seems like a natural ally - he offers flanks on both Japper and Krill.
