That really sucks Lewwyn. So you would have to do 2 separate tests TWICE within 48 hrs to do a connecting flight? That's a huge amount of red tape

Thanks guys. It really hit me when I found out. I'm feeling a bit more zen about it now. Only can control what I can control.

Yeah we'll see if they'll let me try the transfer. The airlines are scrambling too so who knows what will happen. Thanks for the offer. I'm going to bed, looks like SD hasn't played the turn yet, I'll get it in the morning after class.

If you get along with English in any German city it's Frankfurt. Still if you want tips for something I can try to help as well (not a local).
If you have until December, is it maybe an option to fly to Korea or Japan and enter from there by sea? Or land entry via Vietnam (or Russia )?

Thanks Miguelito. I've been told to wait and see, so there's just a lot of uncertainty right now. Ok I think I can update two turns: ![]() ![]() Basically not much is happening. I got horses in like 4 places, and a buddhism spread in junkrat at the end of the turn which, about goddamn time! City settles silver next turn. And I've got a worker chopping a forest into the galley. So my thoughts on wonders. I'm going to try and build the oracle in Rein and try to build the GLH in Zenyatta. I need to tech priesthood>masonry. but it might take a bit of time. Both are 2t turn techs for me an max sci, but max sci is expensive and I'm about to settle another city. Luckily I will have the silver mine in Moira completed in time for Moira's growth to 2. Also I'm working a cottage in Lucio/Rein and will have 3 more in a couple of turns. Settlign the island in maybe 8 turns? BTW still no one has built stonehenge... do I go for it in Lucio?

An update on my situation: This morning I got flight tickets for a direct flight in December. It's just confirmed by the agency I'm working with and I'm not clear on the transfer/cancel ticket money situation, but it looks like it will be okay just a bit delayed and maybe a little more of a financial hit. My wife is refusing to tell me and keeps saying don't worry about it, which is really helping me not worry about it.
But I'm feeling at least a little better about that. Time to start building my mental house of cards again. Let's start by reporting on t61: ![]() Heyo we're back in the city count lead at 7. I settled Ana Gotta get the island city up. Econ is at 30% breakeven. Also WB is exploring west to get circumnav. That's good. Great even. Lurker question. I think I can settle the end of the peninsula there west of the silver, and then also settle on that island between the sheep and the stone right? Man I want that stone for cheap walls. Speaking of, I'm teching masonry before priesthood... I want GLH more than oracle. ARG but now I'm thinking maybe if I want to try for oracle I need PH now... did I make a mistake? I don't know. I need more workers if I'm going to chop out these wonders. Is Nogas going to build oracle? I feel like yes? Or rusten will? In any case I'm putting hammers into Stonehenge in Lucio to get some fail gold... or Stonehenge if no one gets it... Speaking of Nogas, they sent OB with me. So they have writing. Orisa is unhappy, but I'm building a settler there next turn and whipping it again. That's the island settler. Lucio will whip a settler that will go to the other gold/SD border spot. SD is not settling towards me at all. In fact I've seen his most recent settler going even more south. he's going to be in a lot of tightness with Rusten. I'll try to snap a pic of it next turn. I'm still tops in food and last in tech on demos. Fine with me. I need more workers. Probably a worker in the cap after the galley. I said I was planning on 7 workers but now I'm still at 5. It's slowing me down a little bit. I need to grow Moira to 3 and whip a worker there, slow build a worker in cap, grow to 3 in Ana and whip a worker there. Cap also really needs to build a lighthouse, maybe cap2-pop whips the worker and overflows into lighthouse, regrows on that and then chops into the GLH with 2 workers up there. Doable. I also need a unit for the island city at some point. And a unit for the Gold PH city. Probably a spear or axe out of Reinhardt (spear because SD has horses connected). Which is another reason why I probably can't afford to do oracle there right now. I think Rusten and I have equilibrium and he's more focused on his east and west borders which are much tighter. Man he is in a not great place in the middle. Sucks for him. Great for me.

City distance restrictions don't apply for separate landmasses, correct.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Yes, there are no distance limitations for city placement on different landmasses

I think so, it looked so from the fog reading. Either way this discussion has prompted me to think about whether its possible to settle the stone island with the settler out of Orisa. Can I build a galley and whip it in time? perhaps I get a chop from the worker. Let me see... Moira t62 mine complete t63 move to forest t64-t66 chop t67 whip t68 move... Orisa t62 settler t63 whip t64 move to corn t65 move to city Hmmm the Orisa settler is moving too early to be efficient. Lucio t62--63 grow t64 settler t65 whip t66 move to ivory t67 move to plains t68 move to galley YES the timing is perfect. We can do a settler in Lucio that matches the second galley. Also the worker will have finished the chop so it can get on the galley to improve the sheep and stone. The cap can whip a settler to go to the SD gold after the worker build if I slow build it. I'll have to consider that. But having 2 island cities around the time I should get circumnav will be huge. Looking at 6 coastal cities get +1 TRS and +3 gpt per. so circumnav with 2 island cities is 18gpt. Sign me up.
