What do we have here...
Thought as much. We'll be ready. We have one warrior on the way to spawn bust the horse site and a second one will be sent once we have 2 axes out. I am starting to think Gavagai doesn't realize we have copper. I suspected that his scout got killed before he could defog the hill where copper ended up. His warrior moving up hints at confirmation.

I hope he declares war...
Clearly an aggressive move. Too bad (for him) that a DOW won't interfere with worker micro since Sacagawea saw him coming. I would have preferred cottaging the FP, but chopping out the granary for Moria is fine too. Our city builds...
First granary complete. Probably 2 pop whip the settler into an axe then get out another worker (for horse site) and 2 pop whip another settler (horse site naturally) into a library so we can start running scientists. Riker will mine the grass hill first then get a farm down to speed re-growth from whips.
We can whip the axe next turn if necessary (i.e. DOW happens) or switch back over to the granary. Regardless, Stimpy will chop the GHF next so we can complete the granary then head to the gold so we can get that bad boy improved.
Ren and Picard will finish the forest chop T56 which will complete the axe. The granary will be 1 pop whipped for good OF into whatever once Waterdeep reaches sz 3. Might want another worker/axe/or barracks then axe based on what our most pressing need is at the time. Depending on the tactical situation, we either chop the silk (then cottage) or cottage the FP (preferred) with both workers. Probably best to focus on improving commerce tiles (and save most chops for Math). The demos...
Our GNP is terrible. We could have tried cottaging our capitol but non-riverside, non-Financial cottages are pointless. Fishing (to work 2F 2C lakes) could have been an option (delaying granaries) but the best option (to settle desert hill and cottage like a boss) is what we decided to go with. That does mean our economy suffers short term but we'll be fine once we start working cottages and the gold. The horse site can also work a silver mine so should be a net positive once it can get set up. Mids city will be late but regardless, we'll want the production.

Seems like you have everything well under control.
Good to see that!

The danger of being attacked is more abstract. In this case, we would have to be brain dead to try and run a farmer's gambit.

No DOW just yet...
Moria switched back to a granary (changed GHF to FP) and Waterdeep completes an axe EOT. The demos...
We can see more Gavagai culture...

Already talked to him about this previously...whatever.
He decided to retreat (he played while I was still logged in) so I guess he was just testing us? Most likely he saw the copper. Gandhi to head SW next turn.

He was testing!
We need to settle the southern commerce site asap!
Then Mids city and horses and then other cities in the south before going north.
Maybe we can squize in a scouting WB at some point...

Maybe we can squize in a scouting WB at some point... We should be able to 2 pop whip the settler in 2t. Really glad we got that granary built in Redemption!
After the commerce site, do you want to grab the horse site first? I'd feel much better having WCs available since we don't know if Gavagai has horses. Mid city doesn't have any commerce tiles (but does have decent production) so although horse site is farther away, I think we're better off grabbing the horse site first (so borders can expand asap). Really only need to improve the wheat/silver/horses and then the worker can be sent roading back (and by that time Mid city should be founded). We would have the worker from the capitol to help get the road network completed and then both could help improve Mid city for Mids run if it isn't built by then. Thoughts?
Edit: I think having WCs allows us to safely settle the southern spots since they are on flat land (where mobility is a key tactical advantage).

I think this is some kind of sneaky in-game diplo shenanigan...
He has to have an axe built right? We declare, an axe comes out of the fog and kills Gandhi, and he now has confirmation we're up to no good. Well, we are up to no good but that is not the point. Gandhi has more important things to do...like hopefully find out if another player is to the west. We certainly can't go south any further (at least without open borders). Almost in position to spawn bust the horse site...
Our power graph and the demos...
Not sure what to make of this. Guess we need more cities. Luckily, I think we can whip the settler at Redemption next turn. Really don't have a theme for naming cities (not my strong suit) but I think "Wall St." would be an apt name for the desert hill plant. Can't wait to start cottaging all those lovely FPs.

He retreated the worker. So there probably is no axe hanging around and Gavagai is playing a bit of a farmers gambit with Oracle.
Lets move onto the hill and see if the city remains empty.
