News of the turn (well, okay, last turn but didn't pay attention): Thoth just planted his second city.

Well that's...actually a pretty great spot, as long as you can free your mind of silly preconceptions like "second cities need unique food" and other such nonsense. I might just shrug and settle on that hill anyway actually; 2/3/1 tiles aren't too much worse than 0/6/1. We'll see; timings get all whack I'm sure.

Mr. Yellowscout there is a reminder of why waiting until turn 50 and third-ring borders isn't going to cut it, at least.

As an additional note; yes, clearly the best city spot for copper is where the warrior stands right now. I just look at that spot, though, and think about all the countless worker turns it sets on fire...
...gripping hand: It's an easy Oracle spot and seques nicely to the crab choke lake wunderspottencitizplatten.

I'm pretty sure Thoth won't attack you. He most likely went worker-warrior-settler or worker-settler-warrior (depending on where exactly he settle his city)
He has just found you so he probably didn't have any plan to choke you. Even if he settled for horses and want to slow his grow (and get pretty vulnerable to barbs) by sending 1-2 WC your way the fastest they could get to your borders will be T50-51? And this only if he beelines to choke, and you are pretty far away that this would give him very little gain.
I won't worry about any attack from from Thoth for a while (maybe turn 62) You would also get graphs and could check demos to make extra sure.

It's Zulu not egypt, which means copper and Impis, not horse and WC.
How long has he known your position, and when did he know what direction you came?

How long has he known your position, and when did he know what direction you came? Well, he did go AH first, so chariots are still an option. I met him t11, he spotted me t13 so knew the direction.
Settling decision starts next turn...I'm feeling more and more the copper/fp/corn city is best.
...demos show our AH choice pretty starkly.
Moving to c-nav again, there is a passage down there. Survive please...
Okay Hash/ret: Dotmap this! I'll try mine tonight.

This scout just keeps getting hammered. Now let's try "survive the wolf". Actually Hashoosh, let's add Latin glory cognomens to these units...
I want to weave in a scout build if possible, we're going to slam out two settlers fast here then two more workers. Silver will be the next target after copper.

Made a quick one, I guess there's too many unknowns to plan past C, what with all that fog
