Thanks for such a well-reported war, especially from the losing side. I hate the common tendency to only get to see wars from the perspective of the victors, as the loser (understandably) loses motivation to report.

Yeah I figured to keep reporting as long as there's interesting things and things to learn from, always nice to see people enjoying reports

Really wanting to see an epic showdown between Rusten and OH but I have a feeling one of the bit players is going to throw the game in one direction.

Gah, OH is scarily good at this. You think you're safe, then he conjures boats out of nowhere and kills you when you least expect it.

Rusten's plan to sit back and let OH come to him is very odd, and I can't see how it could realistically work with an enormous, indefensible coast and much of his power engaged vs. Dark Savant- plus that's not even getting into how Commodore somehow has a higher power and intends to slam it into him

Yeah, I thought the same thing...he seems to be banking on railroads to allow the logistics to defend, but that won't stop OH from razing all the coastal cities.  Dynamic defense = go on the offense.  That said Rusten is so much better than me, I'm open to the possibility I'm wrong!  It will be good fun to watch it play out.

This is also the first game I can remember where a player was reasonably confident in being able to take on a larger empire two generations ahead in military tech. Looks like Rusten may be simply overconfident, but I'm also completely out of touch with how modern Krill Mod functions, so perhaps Muskets v. Infantry isn't as lopsided a slaughter as in vanilla.
