Peace treaties I don't care, but definitely NO on tech trading. Map trades I'm neutral.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

I've not had a lot of luck getting that aspect of MapCAD to work for me, and don't want to take Civ time away from map-building to figure it out, so I'll leave the sandbox-building to the players who wish to do so unless another lurker volunteers to produce the sandboxes if I post the map in a mapmaking/lurker thread. Either way, before I post the screenies, I have to finalize all nine starting BFCs (and take pictures of them) plus of course the settings have to be confirmed and everyone's threads created for posting in. On the settings:

Also, did we decide on a difficulty? Monarch? Emperor?

As far as I'm concerned, this is up to you guys; I'm just trying to help out with the map! I will note, along the lines that Raskolnikov posted, that the map's nominal size also affects the number of buildings required for several of the National Wonders. Presumably, if desired, Charriu can change this number along the lines of what he did for PB50, but that's something else that should be decided before we get to the picks phase.

And I would need to know the size setting of the map, if I need to change the building requirement.

You are both right in this and as far as my research suggested there is no way to fix this for me, as this is not part of the SDK.

But the treaty length at 5 definitely worked and this effects all deals.

- Also clear no for tech trading.

- I like map trading off better

- Re peace treaties everything works as long it's clear for everyone what are the rules and they work. Bugged 5-turn treaties did not sound too good..

Map trading - ON imo. Id like to be able to see the map as it unfolds with everyone.

Tech Trading- off. Depending on how pb48 goes i might be able to be talked into it wink ( cuz this setup is the longest setup to anything other than some anime ive watched )

Sounds like they cant be fixed to work how we would want them... so just move them back to 10t/instant?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

If my counting is correct, it looks like a majority for Tech Trading - off

This only leaves map Trading, where we currently have a

3 for On
3 for Off
1 for Whatever

Somebody needs to break this tie.

Other than that I will move treaty length back to 10 turns.

Map trading ON.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Same (even if the urge to tie was strong - blame web mafia gaming for this).

As for other settings, I would avoid going back and forth with the mod versions but I'll gladly play the choosen consensus (don't have strong opinions, and will adapt). Just strong NO to tech trading. Brokering OK but no trading and happy backfillling. SP Mansa is enough.

@Charriu: with regard to the number of players I would use the "standard" map size setting.

Looks like Map trading is ON. So the only question for me as a mod maker is. Where should map trading be on the tech tree at:

Paper like in PB48

or

Writing like in RtR 4.1.1.6

Regarding map size. This was only important to know for me if you would have requested me to change build requirements for national wonders.

And yes I would avoid going back and forth with the mod versions. This only happened because you are probably the last PB playing the BUG test version. After the tests are successful everything will go back to RtR and there will be one version of RtR again.
