So not much has happened this turn. Ellorrs and Dice are still healing though Dice is finished after this turn and will continue scouting. Beru Lars has been born in Coruscant and has started building a farm on the rice. Coruscant has begun construction of another worker to be whipped next turn. Currently 6 turns for Animal Husbandry but with the whip it might still be at 6 next turn.

Beru is still farming the rice, Ellors is still healing and dice moved SW. Will move SW again or NW next turn. Will post more screenies then. Whipped another worker in Coruscant and will put the overflow into the warrior. 5 turns for AH to come in.

Turn 33 has been played. Here's an overview picture:

Ellorrs is still healing down by the Incan's. Dice moved SW onto a hill to find the Incan Quecha Metternich scouting along the coast. Dice will most likely move NW next turn.

Owen Lars was completed this turn and has moved onto the furs. Coruscant is working the crabs this turn and next, and on turn 35 Beru should complete the farm so will switch to it then. This will delay AH completing by a turn (to turn 37) but get us to size 2 a turn faster (to turn 36).

The overflow from whipping Owen Lars is going into a warrior and has 2 more turns to go, aka will complete on the interturn of turn 34-35.

Dice moved into the jungle to the NW and sees a wolf to the NW of her. She should be fine. Ellorrs still healing damn it! Owen starts to build a camp on the furs.

So again not much to report. Ellorrs still healing. Dice moved NW and will move W next turn onto a grass/forest/hill. Will do a screenshot next turn. Also Dice survived unscathed vs the wolf and is @ 4/5 xp. Bo Shek was built this turn and moved SE. Coruscant has started on another warrior. Switched to working the rice this turn, will grow in 2, AH in 3.

T36 is in: No world news to report and as such the world is still a heathen place. I expect somebody to grab a religion eventually. Maybe by T40?

Bo Shek moves SW (now 2S of capital)
Beru puts a turn of road into the rice as Owen will finish the furs before Beru can help.
Ellors at 1.7/2 health moves SW onto a plains hill. Will most likely move again next turn, back into a forest.
Dice Ibegon discovered a bear moved onto the grass/forest/hill where she was going to move this turn so rather than try and fight it after the tragic loss of Figrin, Dice moved NE revealing another copper source. This is probably intended for another civ, so Dice will probably move NW, NW over the next 2 turns. Here's Dice now:

The demographics haven't looked nice since we started whipping, but we've just lost 1st place in land. Would somebody have gotten a 2nd city down? Or is that a 3rd ring pop with more land than ours? Personally I believe that's a 2nd city which would indicate we're a bit behind as we're probably atleast 12 turns from founding another city.

K, Dice has moved NW and revealed a spice. Ellorrs moved SW and revealed a cows. Bo Shek moved S revealing nothing lol.

Owen finished the camp on the furs. Beru after much debate moved to the plains hill 2W of the capital. Both Beru and Owen will road their tiles for the next 2 turns and then they will both mine the plains hill. At size 4 (in 8 turns) I'll start a settler and then chop and double whip into a granary or a warrior depending on our current warrior status.

In other world news the Incan's have met another civ: The Byzantium! To our west their scouting warrior should arrive so they're probably the civ we'll tumble upon with Dice. They didn't switch their espionage off of us yet, however they probably just met this turn and they've adopted Slavery so we'll see in a couple turns how that plays out. We should meet The Byzantium's soon as well so we won't gain a big # espionage points over them (not that I really want that) but that might work out down the road.

E-mails from the Incan's:

Quote:Hey Athlete,

Sorry for the wait for a response, you'd think the weekend would equal more time, but that's apparently not always the case.

We as well are still formulating/laughing at/discussing ideas as to where we want to settle. We seem remarkably good at putting up signs saying "Settle?" though!. In all seriousness however it looks like our immediate priority will be settling west of us, with only a couple cities at most between the two of us. There's no one collective decision however. Do you have some sort of proposal in regards to a settling agreement? We are definitely willing to work with you.

In regards to a NAP, we are interested in a longer term NAP, what would you consider to be an appropriate length?

Also, we thought you'd like to know that we recently met regoarrarr's warrior a little east of you. We sent alongside our formal greetings a recommendation that he move west to you. If he follows our advice he should meet your borders in around 4 or 5 turns. Who said the Ottomans weren't great matchmakers?

Till Later,

For I/K/Z

And a second:

Quote:To be clear, when I said regoarrarr's warrior was east of you I actually meant west- east would be a bit hard with the ocean there and everything... wink

Iamjohn for IKZ

I haven't had time to really read and think on this though I do have an idea of what I will write back. I'll take a day or 2 before I respond to make sure it comes out right. I'll be pretty busy anyways so a little time delay won't be the worst thing.

K, so logged in this morning and the Byzantium warrior is visible on our border. Will have to check our email smile. I have accordingly switched all espionage onto the Byzantium's. I don't believe he's moved this turn so I'm holding back on moving Bo Shek anywhere's yet.

Owen started road on Furs. Beru started road on mine though I cancelled her actions for next turn, just in case the Byzantium warrior gets frisky.

Ellorrs moved SW finding the Inca's bronze and some nice land.
Dice moved NW and found the Byzantium's borders. Aha 2 can play this game lol.

Animal Husbandry came in and we're on to pottery in 6. Great news though is that we have horses in our 3rd ring. They will be in 2nd ring of a production city on the coast to the SE so we'll have to get them pastured up asap. Given this knowledge I think we should found the gold city before bronze. I'll try and post a screenshot later, but I won't have time to do much else right now at work.

A greeting e-mail from Byzantium:

Quote:Hey Athlete and Kalin,

This was the only email that I had for you guys - if you set up a team one let me know so I can resend / use it for future correspondence

We have now apparently met, as our wandering warrior has spied your borders. Good to see you! I am regoarrarr, and I will likely be your voice into the lovely empire of Byzantium. It just must be the promised land over here, because after wandering in the desert for 40 years (or is it 39?), we have met both yourself and the IKZ team on back to back turns! Have you guys already met them? They said that they are about 10 or so tiles to the south of you.

They also mentioned Mortius was on their continent, which I had not realized that they were the "executioners" of Mortius. I guess I'm kind of 2 minds on that. On the one hand, I am kind of glad that Shaka of Rome is not nearby (do you know where they were located? I am assuming to your S or E?). But on the other hand, I'm a little worried about having someone so militaristic still nearby (and likely with 2 civs' worth of land to expand into!)

As such, would you be interested in any type of NAP? We were talking among ourselves about wanting to secure a fairly long (100 turns?) NAP. I know that you also don't have an early UU, but IKZ obviously does (and knows how to use it!) - so maybe it makes sense for us to team up? Obviously it is early, and the alliances will be different in a game with no tech trading, but it does seem like starting early is a way to secure some of the best and strongest alliances. I don't want to pressure you to "jump into bed" with us just yet :-), if that makes sense, but did want to just throw out there that we are looking for something.

Hope to hear from you soon!

This was actually sent to my e-mail and not the team one. I took me a while before I realized he might send it there so I hadn't checked mine in a while though I was checking the team one, and hence didn't get it right away. Anyways, my response with more to come:

Quote:Hey Regoarrarr,

Thanks for the e-mail. When I logged in this morning I noticed your warrior and shortly after moved mine to find your borders smile. I'll have a more formal response tonight but I just wanted to let you know our team e-mail is (team e-mail addy). Since I new we had met I had been checking that one, not even thinking to check this until now smile. Unfortunately work is quite busy today, (tomorrow should be slower) so this will have to be it for my repsonse until tonight. Thanks again for the e-mail and I'll talk to you soon,

Athlete

Oh and he responded to our team e-mail with this:

Quote:No problem guys. It was weird - I got this reply no more than like 10 minutes after I realized I also had an email address for Kalin and sent him a brief chaser.

Athlete - to keep you updated, I told Kalin that I believed your warrior was on a silk tile south of a lake next to a peak, and said that it would be nice if you would take the southern route around that peak (move SW next turn instead of NW). Like I said to him, it's not a huge deal if you feel you have to move NW next to our borders, but we would prefer the southern route.

As an incentive, we have met another civ - Jowy of the Greeks. They are located due west of your warrior's current position, so if you head due west you should run into them before too long.

Hope to hear from you soon
