About mysticism: I think with the data from the currently running games I can make a final decision about the commerce bonus from Mysticism.

Did you read my hunting comment by any chance? I definitely missed this in the change discussions.
I would be curious why 5 other people picked myst civs, which is important, but it does seem high.

You're going to be getting river on the plains to the west: Does this ruin your pick/gameplan?

Does getting a river change my decision to pick a financial leader?
Although I do seriously hope this has nothing to do with my bellyaching, would be a bad precedent.

Yes I read it and I think I will go with 100 vs animals from the start and additional 100 or 200 from hunting

Thanks. I am very curious how many other people have realized this. Both in this game and new PBEM.

No worries, I didn't actually realize it was your position until after I checked. We're in feedback mode for the map and you should all see the live start shortly.

Wasn't exactly sure what Commodore meant by river on the plains, but it wasn't bordering my grasslands like I had hoped. Ah well. After settling, got impression that west is backlines plus border pop will reveal a bit more about. Felt north was contested so starting north first to make most of my 5-6 turns of safety. South has an obviously great early spot already without knowing anything else. East I'm assuming leads somewhere as well, but wanted some info on stone ish area. My inkling that north is probably contested / towards someone is confirmed by what looks to be a floodplain valley. I swear I've never aggressively settled a floodplain valley . Already looks like a nice spot with stone and clam and share capital corn. I think I'll spend first 4-5 turns exploring northern area and then coming back and doing little 1 move pokes east and then hook south.
Anyways I need two non Charriu lurkers to say they want an opponent pick analysis to do one.

I always want an opponent pick analysis It's the most fun part of the report at this point.
