If you are still looking at the map ... my starting location has no fresh water.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

My start was edited. And no yields were changed ... so all the comments I have seen in the tech thread are correct (to a degree).

T1 is in the box ... and this software bug is still in the forum. The trick is not to EDIT your post. I will be writing up my post in notepad ... or I might create a dummy account in some forum somewhere and check the look / feel there.

That's not correct. We gave you a river west of "Not Madrid" as a source of fresh water. Unfortunately this gives an extra commerce to the tile 1W of it. I only note this down so that everybody can later complain that this 1 tile was crucial for your victory.

Oh ... that mongolian player from 54 ... luckily, this is a different world, different time and I can't drag his actions from that game into this. That said - I will be monitoring his power charts for fake news.
He hasn't played this turn ... so he is standing 4 tiles away from his capital ... while I am standing 6 tiles away.
