Thanks for the screenies. Have you found any other players? Have you managed to accumulate an event fund?
It's really hard to pop borders in this mod, especially for non-religious Auric, so you'll have a hard time grabbing the crabs if you settle north of the copper. The desert tile between the wheat, horse, and cotton (or the tile east of that one) would be a strong site, although not great for food. If you're going archery -> priests of winter, copper isn't necessary.
Are you sending your new warrior exploring? I always figure that any exploring unit will be eaten by an animal, and keep enough units in my borders to have a garrison of 2-3 warriors per city. Once you can build archers, you can lighten up the garrisons slightly, but barb cities will inevitably churn out their kill teams of four warriors to attack your cities. Not to mention the other players, who may want to eliminate you before you wreck their games.
