I have also popped a pair of huts for a total of about 50 gp. This will be helpful in the short run as I'll use it to fuel deficit research after I sprint out to my first city.

I have also scouted an incense resource which I'd dearly like to hook up, but I'm hoping for a stronger site closer to my capital. Incense has a number of buildings which improve its happiness output, and is required for training some of the mid-tier priest units.

From a gameplay mechanic, it can be hooked up for Ice mana and Amurites || Illians can trigger a golden age by scouting it.

Actually it permanently gives the Illians the AGG trait.

Ah, it's been a while since I've scouted it as anyone really, so thanks for the head's up there. I wonder if Selrahc knows to look for it in the early game? Also, that sounds rather strong, so if I do encompass it, Selrahc will need to pay for the privilege...

I've been toying around with pseudo-roleplaying the Svartalfar as a closed civilization (no OB, no map trades, though I'll buy others), would certainly be interesting, but I don't know if I want to give up the trade-route income from super-sized FoL cities.

By the way, do lurkers have a preference for screenshots to be embedded, or thumbnails? I can do either and have no preference either way. Though I probably won't have standard sizes since when I play a turn on my laptop (like when I was in Thailand) my resolution is different from when I play on my desktop.

Turn 5

Nothing too interesting happening in game yet, just running my circle. Generally I'm sticking to forests to take advantage of my double-move, but sometimes I have to end-turn out in the open. Things will get considerably more riskier for my scouting units when the animals pop in a little bit.
