Dumb discovers Cows!




Still need border pops if I want to share capitals Cows as well. I could actually still settle 1S of the Mountain and then push next city up to Cows. Not that I'd really like that too much... or then I could also put a city 1S of Cows for immediate use of the tile. Also, then I'd get a lot of Lakes to work with, hmm... A lot might depend on further scouting that way.

A settler could be done in 4 turns at size 2 (damn, it's so fast in Bts with 65h settlers). It was a big mistake to pick Mining before The Wheel. Just useless . I could just grow to 3 now first... but I don't have much to use the hammers before settler. Maybe another warrior but that's about it? Well, that was played in a dumb manner, I'll deal with it somehow.

Dumber finds nothing to report for in the east.

Change to plans. I had thought (somehow) that I need BW to improve Deer . Well, that was dumb.

Going to put my 2nd city 1NE of Deer. 4f2h tile is good enough to feed me for some time. Then it's also easier to settle for Wheat next or so.

Next turn Dhalphir took Stonehenge. That's early but not surprising; he is IND + started with Mysticism.

The Bear that killed Dumb is showing some injury. I guess animals gain no xp in BtS thus can't promote? Or maybe that fight wasn't worth more than 1 xp.




A Lion in south has done something similar to my opponents. These animals are deadly! And I forgot to take a pic of the lion. Who cares. I don't.

T43. Sitting at 4 cities, all but Thoth has same. He picked up Alphabet Writing early, probably planning on to build quick Library and push out fast GS with his PHI. I grabbed early religion, Buddhism. Not sure why I did it already but it popped in a good city which is close to Alhazard.

The Great Lighthouse not banned, right? Or is it an unwritten rule to ban it?

I have contact with everyone so I know some facts of techs:
- 1 player has Masonry. A run for Pyramids. Dhalphir with IND? Too lazy to count scores to make sure.
- 1 player has Archery, those barbs are a pain without Copper. I know. Oh, wait, I don't.
- None has Priesthood. Oracle is still there up for grabs.

Dhalphir is fairly close to me. Cows is improved. Notice that Horse. It's the only Horse on the whole map I've seen so far. I'd not like Dhalphir to have it when I have no Copper to build spears...




Luckily the spot is about as bad of a city spot as it can. He could settle 1W of Horse to use Fish close to his cap to make it decent though.

This is all I could find:

I wouldn't ban the Great Lighthouse; SoZ is just nasty but that's not really very map-dependent.

So I'd assume it was OK.

Commodore, serious question. The map was pretty much random IIRC, but did you forget to check Copper/Horse locations? You (or the map) put Copper or/and horses close to other players' starts but mine has none? Well horses relatively... eh... close but no Copper anywhere. I know I haven't scouted all the map but alhazard has Copper 2SW of his cap...
