You are right. The post by selrahc was actually very strange. Crae to elaborate on the contradiction, selrahc?

I'm going to echo Bob's question to Sandover. Sandover wrote this:
Sandover Wrote:Don't waste your time on Lewwyn, guys. We've got wolves to catch.
And then this:
Sandover Wrote:I know that. I'm the one saying he's innocent. [he = Lewwyn]
Both of these were within a few minutes of each other. Why? What has convinced you that he is innocent? My limited evaluation of Lewwyn is "I don't see anything suspicious yet," but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to clear his name halfway through day 1. You seem eager to do so. Why?

This might seem very clear but I need to point out that the fool is not useless. He can still tell if someone is the seer or not.
If I had to take a random guess on who the wolves are it is Bob, Lewwyn, F&I (from post 108) and then Rowain and Selrec from some of my mini-posts. They are likely just a poor random guess.

I'll definitely elaborate.
I don't think it is a contradiction, as such. MJW indicated that if he was a villager, he would fake role claim to stay alive.
In this game, there is a wolf voider role. A villager who fake claims a power role might distract the voider.
If MJW was a villager and followed through on his (IMO dubious) tactic, then there would be some gameplay advantage.
He hasn't role claimed though. Which doesn't really prove anything about his ultimate loyalties one way or another, except for the rather tenuous thread that he never said he would fake role claim if he was a wolf.
Either way, he is still a little vexing to play with. The thing I wanted to happen didn't, but he is probably as likely as anyone to be a wolf and I don't think he would be an asset as a villager. So I'm happy with my vote.

I'm here Mardoc.
The simple truth is that it's Day 1 and we have zero information. Essentially it's a crapshoot, and a crapshoot with bad odds to boot, that we'll get a wolf.
It's much more likely we'll just end up lynching an inexperienced villager who's talking too much.
One question to ask yourself: is MJW really that inexperienced? He talks about previous Mafia games a lot, surely by now he'd have learned to keep quiet, so maybe he's posting noisily to maintain cover.
But that's just a circular argument.
In short, current lynch candidates are Lewwyn and MJW, neither of which I have strong convictions over, so I'm remaining with my (essentially) non-vote.
I won't be surprised if it turns out they're both villagers.
Roland Wrote:Lewwyn, I'm tempted to lynch you even more just so you do get voted off before MJW! Just for the humor in it. I swear, no hard feelings, but watching you squirm at the idea of MJW living longer than you is just too rich not to enjoy for a little while. I like Roland's posts a lot more when they're short and to the point!

MJW, why? The fool scans the seer as fool and the seer scans the fool as fool. So both scan the other as fool and both got telled they are the seer - at least as far as I understood. The only possibility to find out who is who is to have one of the scry-targets killed and find out that the mod-reveal states a other role then your scry.

Once some knows that they are the seer there scry can tell if some one is the seer or not.

This logic is wrong you should lych good players first for reasons I have already said. It is going to take losing to the wolfs by one vote and Lewwyn being lyched ether way for people to care.

I read this like 5 times and I still cannot understand it. Either way, I'm pretty confident that Serdoa is dead on with his description. The seer scans the fool as the fool, and the fool scans the seer as the fool. The only way to tell who is real is to compare their results against a known entity (aka someone dead).
